Alice Braga in Comme Des Garçons at the 21st Rome Film Festival Opening Ceremony & 'The Sound of Something New' Premiere

On Tuesday(October 13th) Alice Braga hit the red carpet for during the 21st Rome Film Festival for the opening ceremony and 'The Sound of Something New' premiere which was held at the Auditorium Parco Della Musica in Rome, Italy.

We don't see Alice on the carpet often, but I think this is the most fashion forward look that I have ever seen her in. She posed in a COMME DES GARCONS black sculptural top which was belted at the waist and a black pleated skirt. 

Do I love the pieces that she is wearing? Yes, but not together. I feel like the top would have looked better paired with black tailored trousers. But having said that, I don't think that she has the edge needed for a top like this. The styling is really lacks excitement. What do you think of Alice look?

'The New Look' NYC Premiere

On Monday(February 12th) Apple TV+'s ''The New Look'' premiere was held at Florence Gould Hall in New York City. 

Glenn Close wore a CHRISTIAN DIOR black skirt suit and accessories and she looked great. She embodied what the Dior ''The New Look'' was about. However, I kinda wish that she added a belt. 

Maisie Williams wore a COMME DES GARCONS FALL 1987 dress from MON VINTAGE. I actually like this but I wish the gloves were leather and I feel a necklace could have been added.

Karlie Kloss in Ryan Roche on the Today Show

This morning(March 6th) in New York, Karlie Kloss was spotted arriving for an appearance on the Today Show to celebrate International Women's Day. 

Karlie was feeling blue, because she took on the hue in different shades courtesy of RYAN ROCHE. Her SPRING 2020 ensemble featured an light blue trench coat which was thrown over her shoulders, a blue-grey button down shirt and baby blue trousers. 

Karlie could have easily gone the safe route with nude or black pumps but her NO. 21 white block heel pumps were a better choice. Karlie went the business route with this look which worked for the occasion. 

On the beauty end, she kept things simple with center part medium tresses and light make-up. MIKIMOTO x COMMES DES GARCONS pearl necklace put the finishing touches on her look. What do you think of Karlie's blue ensemble?

Rihanna in Comme des Garcons at the 2017 MET Gala

She didn't attend last year but Rihanna was back on her fashion high on May 1st at the Kawakubo Comme des Garcons-Art of the In-Between 2017 MET Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art in New York.  

Working a avant-grade inspired look from the event's honoree, Riri nailed this COMME DES GARCONS FALL 2016 floral panel dress which was layered like petals with cut-outs. 

I think if I saw this on anyone else, the results would be different. From the hair, make-up and thigh-high lace-up sandals, this was a winning look. One of the top best of the night. Do you agree?

Tracee Ellis Ross always has fun with her fashion choices which is why I adore her style. She was spotted heading to the Kawakubo Comme des Garcons-Art of the In-Between 2017 MET Costume Institute Gala this evening(May 1st) at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art in New York.  

Staying on tune with the theme, she wore a cobalt blue three-quarter sleeve COMME DES GARCONS sculpted floral coat dress which featured a high neckline. 

The statement dress is so Tracee and even though I wish she pulled the neckline down in the front, I still like this look. A statement clutch, LOUBOUTIN sandals, smokey eyes and a high bun finished up her look.

Pharell Williams & Helen Lasichanh in Comme des Garcons at the 2017 MET Gala

Pharell Williams who is one of this evening(May 1st) co-chairs, posed with his wife Helen Lasichanh  at the Rei Kawakubo Comme des Garcons-Art of the In-Between 2017 MET Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art in New York. 

Pharrell Williams wore a COMMES DES GARCONS black leather embellished biker jacket, a plaid shirt and distressed jeans which he topped off with white socks and burgundy shoes. This looks suits Pharrell but I was hoping for him to do something more interesting. 

Helen Lasichanh however, stood out in a COMME DES GARCONS FALL 2017 red long sleeve crop jumpsuit and black & white toe cap boots. Love this look on Helen. She always takes fashion risk which is why I like her.

Rihanna in Hood By Air & Alexandre Vauthier Couture at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards

Rihanna skipped the red carpet but the singer took the stage four times before she received her Michael Jackson Vanguard award last night(August 28th) at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards 2016 at Madison Square Garden in NYC. 

She opened the show wearing the HOOD BY AIR 'Cookie Ringer' pink & red bodysuit styled with a high waist pink draped belted mini skirt with the matching fur boots by COMME DES GARCONS. Her opening number was great and her look was on tune for it. A high ponytail, red lips and red CUTLER & GROSS sunglasses finished up her look. 

For her last performance and when she accepted her award, she wore a ALEXANDRE VAUTHIER FALL 2016 COUTURE dramatic satin champagne belted coat dress. This was such a great look for Riri, one of my favorites of the night. A pulled back straight tresses and a dark red lip finished up her look.

Converse x Comme des Garçons PLAY Collection

Today Converse launched their Comme des Garçons PLAY collaboration collection globally. The designer label created four styles of the iconic Converse pro leather sneakers which debut in 1976 as a performance basketball shoe. Comme des Garçons PLAY is a casual street-wear-influenced line from the Avant-garde Japanese label founded by Rei Kawakubo.

Kawakubo gave the classic pro leather sneakers a updated look and designed the collection with PLAY'S signature playful heart with eyes logo. I like the quirkiness of these sneakers which will add a fun touch to dresses & minis for the summer. 

The Comme des Garçons PLAY for Converse Pro leather sneakers is available in milk and black mid & Ox silhouettes. Each style will be available on Dover Street Market's website and at the Comme des Garçons NYC store starting today and in Paris & London on June 1st.
