14th Governors Awards - Mens

Following the Globes, Colman Domingo, Barry Keoghan, Bradley Cooper David Oyelowo and more attended the 14th annual Governors Awards  which was held at the Ray Dolby Ballroom on Tuesday(January 10th) in LA.

Colman Domingo served up a look wearing a GRAYSCALE suit with some stylish CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN shoes. The shoes are a little too pointy but you can't sleep on this look. 

David Oyelowo wore a ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA tuxedo. I almost wish the bow tie was the same color as the suit with an added gold brooch.

As always, the men made the presents known on the red carpet on Sunday(January 7th) for the 81st Golden Globe Awards which was held at the Beverly Hills Hilton in LA. 

Colman Domingo looked sharp as always wearing a custom LOUIS VUITTON suit which was accessorized with DAIVD YURMAN jewelry. 

Bradley Cooper went the classic route, wearing a LOUIS VUITTON tuxedo. The pants needed to be hemmed.

91st Academy Awards Men

Yesterday evening(February 24th) for the 91st Academy Awards and 2019 Vanity Fair party in LA, the men showed up and a few showed out, style wise.

David Oyelowo was one of the few men that stood out, wearing a custom ETRO green velvet tuxedo, which was teamed with ROGER VIVIER shoes. The suit looks a tad small but I am glad that he stepped outside the box.

Stephan James rocked a custom velvet tuxedo by ETRO as well. Clearly he is wearing the same suit as David but I prefer his because of the color. Also those GIVENCHY white boots are everything. His suit looks a tad small as well but I am still here for it. Also I love that he is wearing a SWAROSKI earring as a pin on the lapel of the tux. DAVID YURMAN jewelry finished up his look.

Shamier Anderson rocked a DOLCE & GABBANA tuxedo, which he accessorized with DAVID YURMAN jewelry and black velvet loafers.

Mahershala Ali walked away a winner wearing a ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA black satin lapel two-piece tuxedo styled with a black shirt, a black bow, a check print pocket squared and black dress shoes. He just looked handsome in his all black look. 

David Oyelowo looked smooth as well wearing DOLCE & GABBANA tuxedo which featured white blazer with a contrasting black shawl collar and a black bow & dress shoes.

Ryan Gosling look great as well in a black two-piece tuxedo styled with a ANTO SHIRT white  ruffle tuxedo shirt and velvet bow. The shirt gives his look a standout appeal

David Oyelowo in Strong Suit on Good Morning America

David Oyelowo is currently out promoting his new film 'A United Kingdom' and earlier today(February 6th) in New York, he made an appearance on at Good Morning America to promote the film. 

He was spotted arriving at the studio wearing the STRONG SUIT 'Claymore' navy notch lapel two-piece suit with a navy turtleneck underneath. 

The actor kept warm in a black wool coat with contrasting colorful stripe silk lining which coordinated well with his suit. The MONT BLANC 'Star Classique' time piece with rose gold bezel and navy dress shoes finished up his dapper look.

David & Jessica Oyelowo at the 'Queen of Katwe' 60th BFI London Film Festival Premiere

On hand to support husband David Oyelowo, actress Jessica Oyelowo attended the 'Queen of Katwe' premiere during the 60th Annual BFI London Film Festival in London on Sunday(October 9th).

David Oyelowo looked sharp wearing a green three-piece suit which he styled with a contrasting green shade button down shirt, tie & socks and patent loafers. He finished up with a printed pocket square which kept his look interesting. 

Jessica Oyelowo wore a sleeveless TALBOT RUNHOF RESORT 2017 jacquard colorful pattern calf length dress with a short v-neckline and side pockets. Jessica's dress was shown in the look book with a contrasting yellow leather belt which she opted not to wear. The print is a but busy but I am definitely not a fan of her shoe choice. A complimentary colored sandal or even gold would have been a better choice over those pumps.

Yesterday evening(September 20th) Lupita Nyong'o and David Oyelowo hit the red carpet at the premiere of Queen of Katwe at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, CA.

Lupita Nyong'o looked beautiful hit the red carpet in a ELIE SAAB RESORT 2017 lavender split detail pleated floor length halter dress with a triangle cut-out bodice, an open-back and contrasting black, pink, cobalt blue, yellow & lavender stripe straps & waistband. Lupita is most likely paying homage to her hometown Kenya with her look and she nailed it. She always wears color perfectly and this was no different for me. Like her TIFF, this is a memorable look. GRAZIELA GEMS jewelry, NEIL RODGERS sandals and magenta lips completed her look. Did Lupita win you over with this look as well?

David Oyelowo wore a DOLCE & GABBANA suit with a custom KUTULA FOR AFRICANA vedt & pocket square which is paying homage to his Nigerian roots. Love the color on him and the contrasting printed vest & pocket square kept it interested. However the pants look a bit too tight but a great look nonetheless. LOUIS LEEMAN loafers topped offed his look.
