Olivia Culpo in Falguni Shane Peacock at the Tag Heuer 50 Years of Monaco Timepiece Celebration

Olivia Culpo's style maybe a hit a miss but you can tell that she enjoys playing around with fashion.  Following her LA outing, she stepped out on Wednesday(July 10th) for the Tag Heuer 50 Years of Monaco Timepiece celebration in New York.

On this occasion, she scaled back on the sexy, opting for a sporty, feminine look courtesy of FALGUNI SHANE PEACOCK. Her sheer red ruffle dotted jacket and the matching joggers, featured contrasting black & white stripes.

I can dig the pants but the jacket feels very over-designed. I like the contrast of the stripes, as it adds some balance to the vibrant hue. However there is an over-load of ruffles on the jacket. Remove the ruffles on the shoulders & cuffs and make the sleeves longer, I think that it would have sold better. Are you feeling Olivia's sporty look?

Alexandra Shipp & Nafessa Williams at the 29th GLAAD Media Awards 'Rising Star' Luncheon

Yesterday afternoon(April 11th) Alexandra Shipp and Nafessa Williams hit the red carpet at the 29th Annual GLAAD Media Awards 'Rising Star' luncheon at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA.

Alexandra Shipp looked pretty in a RALPH LAUREN SPRING 2018 navy maxi dress with spaghetti straps and contrasting white, red, yellow, green & cobalt blue side stripes. The side stripes is what breathes life into this maxi dress but the fit & simplicity styling by Alexandra's keeps it the focal point as it should. A curly up-do, red lips and a box clutch finished up her look.

Nafessa Williams is a fashion risk taker so it is no surprise that she is wearing this fussy, detailed FALGUNI SHANE PEACOCK dress. Her powder & royal blue semi-sheer dress featured trumpet panels, floral embroidery and ruffle tulle & organza panels. She ensure nothing else competes with her dress, she wore her beautiful braids in a half-up half-down off-the-shoulder hair style. STUART WEITZMAN sandals finished up her look.

Beyonce in Falguni & Shane Peacock and Jean-Louis Sabaji at the 2018 Wearable Art Gala

When it comes down to her looks, music and everything that she does, Beyonce does it on her own terms which is one of the reasons that I like her. On Saturday(March 17th) she was one of the honorees at the 2018 Wearable Art Gala which was held at the Waco Theater in LA.

Bey received the 'Humanitarian Award' rocking and she did it wearing two different looks channeling the events theme, from 'Waco to Wakanda'. Her first was a custom FALGUNI & SHANE PEACOCK long sleeve gold metallic beaded gown with a dramatic train. Her look which paid ode to a 'Warrior Queen' was accessorized with JEAN PAUL GAULTIER COUTURE earrings and a UNIQUELY WIRED headband.

Her second look was from the JEAN-LOUIS SEBAJI SPRING 2018 collection. Her ‘Sphinx’ abaya dress was done in lush silk threadwork and gold glass beading. She accessorized it with a DIVAMP COUTURE gold corset & arm cuffs, custom LORRIANE SCHWARTZ earrings and the same JIMMY CHOO sandals from her previous look.

Make-up wise, she rocked the same natural, golden look with both dresses. Which one of Bey's golden looks do you prefer?

Falguni & Shane Peacock Spring / Summer 2012

FALGUNI & SHANE PEACOCK Spring / Summer 2012 collection took all the fashionista's in the room on a futuristic journey without disappointing. When I first heard that they were showing, I just knew I couldn't miss this show. With bold prints, color, feathers, spikes, gold, sheer, leather, sequins and cut-out detailing, the collection is for the risk taking fashionista. Lala Vasquez and Joan Rivers sat front at the amazing show. What I love about their pieces is how over the top they are but still wearable and I think that is key. High splits and fish tails also made statements in the collection on minis and long dresses. I can see Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Ciara and even Beyonce rocking out in one of their pieces or hitting the red carpet. They are all edgy fashionista's who love to take their style to the next level and this is what this line is all about. Fergie and Tiffany Hines have already worn a piece from Falguni & Shane Peacock, that's why they drew my attention. Continue to see the rest of the collection.
