Usher in Dolce & Gabbana and Off-White Performing at Super Bowl LVIII

Last night(February 11th) Usher nailed his performance during the Apple Music halftime show at Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas. 

He first hit the stage in a custom look by DOLCE & GABBANA. This look came in three parts which he actually removed layers as he performed. The look shown above is actually the third look and you can see the sketches of the first two looks below. 

For this look, you can see that he paid homage to MJ via the gloves. This was a fun and entertaining performance which I loved and his look flowed with it. From the live band, H.E.R., Luda and Lil Jon, Usher gave his fans exactly what we were hoping to see, a spectacular performance.

Alicia Keys in Dolce & Gabbana Performing at Super Bowl LVIII

Alicia Keys joined on Usher onstage last night(February 11th) for a performance during the Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII halftime show in Las Vegas. 

Alicia sparkled beautifully in a custom DOLCE & GABBANA red semi-sheer, sequin catsuit which was accompanied by a coordinating cape that she removed at the beginning of her performance. Alicia Keys in Moncler at the 2023 Capital's Jingle Bell Ball - Day 1

Before she hit the stage, Alicia Keys posed on the red carpet during Day 1 of the 2023 Capital Jingle Bell Ball which was held at The O2 Arena on Saturday(December 9th) in London.

On tune with the carpet, she rocked a MONCLER red crystal embellished suit with a matching corset top underneath. She could have easily gone with pumps or leather ankle boots but instead she toughen up her ensemble with black TIMBERLAND'S. 

The color looks great on her and Alicia has that kinda style where she can go from dressy to casual. Given her previous look, this was so much better and perfect for her performance. Are you feeling Alicia's ensemble?

Beyonce has kicked off her highly anticipated ''Renaissance'' World Tour at the Friends Arena this evening(May 10th) in Stockholm, Sweden and of course she served us with interesting fashion looks.

She wore a custom LOEWE FALL 2022  gold sequin catsuit with contrasting black hand appliqués. The hand appliqués makes this catsuit interesting because of the placements. This was a sexy, sparkly look that suits her.

Beyonce like always, showed off her look, her way and this to me is one of her best looks since her 2021 Grammy Burberry piece. She was a nominated performer yesterday evening(March 27th) at the 94th Annual Academy Awards which took place at the Hollywood and Highland in Hollywood, California

Look 1:

She didn't hit the red carpet but she took her own pictures and she looked beautiful wearing a custom VALENTINO COUTURE yellow column dress with dramatic cape sleeves, that flowed into a train and opera gloves. The color looked amazing on her and the LORRAINE SCHWARTZ earrings added the right amount of sparkle.

Yesterday(December 1st) in LA, Jennifer Hudson and Christina Aguilera performed at the 2021 AHF World AIDS Day Concert which was held at The Forum.

Jennifer Hudson got dressed up in a YOUSEF ALJASMI crystal mesh gown which was accessorized with JEWELS BY GRACE and CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN pumps. I feel like I have seen this before from this designer but it was still a great performance look.

Mickey Guyton performed on The Today Show this morning(September 24th) to celebrate and promote the release of her new album ''Remember Her Name'' which drops today as well. 

For her performance and appearance, she wore a ULLA JOHNSON PRE-FALL 2021 white ruffle knit dress which was adorned with a black ETRO belt. Love the dress but I am questioning whether or not she needed the belt because I don't think that she did. 

Also I kinda wish she wore gold accessories because black is so predictable. However this is not a bad look. What do you think of Mickey's performance look?

Instagram Style: Cynthia Erivo in Area Performing on the Today Show

As part of the Citi Summer Music series, Cynthia Erivo performed on the Today Show recently and her stylist Jason Bolden posted her look on instagram. 

She posed for the gram in a AREA PRE-FALL 2021 tartan ensemble which featured a draped crystal, cropped blazer and the matching crystal slit back trousers. I saw part of her performance and this was the perfect look for it. 

Thankfully the top that was shown with the trousers were swapped out for the jacket because the combination worked better. She dressed up her look with a selection of statement rings and earrings which topped off her look along with platform heels and her signature buzz cut.

Before she picked up her golden statue, H.E.R. performed and walked the red carpet yesterday evening(April 25th) in custom DUNDAS at the 93rd Oscars which was held at Union Station in Los Angeles, CA.

For her taped pre-performance, she wore a custom embellished olive green tail coat and a tuxedo jumpsuit with a black jet bugle bead collar and cuffs, and organza ruffle trim over a matching plunge neckline flared jumpsuit. I kinda wish the pants were longer but for a performance like this, her sparkly number worked.

Bella Thorne performed for Triller on Friday(April 2nd) and her stylist Mikiel Benyamin posted her look to his instagram page. 

She posed for the gram in a AREA white crystal stitched corset top and white MISCREANTS leather pants. This was a great performance look for Bella. It's edgy and sexy with some sparkles which was enhanced by the jewelry.

Cynthia Erivo in Valentino Couture Performing at the A Grammys Salute to the ''Sounds of Change''

Following her attendance at the awards show, Cynthia Erivo performed at the A Grammys Salute to the ''Sounds of Change'' last night(March 17th).

Ever since teaming up with stylist Jason Bolden, you can see the evolution in Cynthia's style. If the goal for this performance was opulence with some drama, I can say that it was achieved with this VALENTINO SPRING 2021 COUTURE number. 

Yes this hood pearl embellished, net dress looks heavy but the idea to chose this for her performance, was the right choice. The dress sparkles a little and it sets the tone for her to do what needed to be done with limited movement. 

Also the understated makeup allowed nothing to distract from this dress. This was another winning fashion moment for Cynthia, do you agree?

Ellie Goulding just announced that she is pregnant with her first child and on yesterday(February 25th) she performed on The Graham Norton Show in London. 

Ellie's growing baby bump was hidden under her JEAN PAUL GAULTIER SPRING 2019 COUTURE. Her light blue layered tulle, high-low hem gown featured a flowing train in the back and contrasting black straps. 

She layered her gown with a light blue sequin turtleneck sleeve scarf and she topped it off with white & black printed boots. I like the boots here because it adds a cool edge to her playful, dramatic piece. What do you think of Ellie's performance look?

Instagram Style: Andra Day in Valentino on Good Morning America

Andra Day made an appearance on Good Morning America to promote her new film ''The United States vs. Billie Holiday'' and to perform ''Tigress & Tweed'' from the movie's soundtrack. Her stylist Vice posted a BTS look to instagram today(February 18th). 

She posed for the gram in a VALENTINO SPRING 2021 sheer nude organza and lace panel button down top with a bustier underneath. Andra looks beautiful with a red lip and it worked perfectly here along with her red nails to balance out her nude look. 

Her beauty look overall is just flawless as always. Andra didn't wear this for her performance but for the interview portion, in which she was sitting down via zoom. Instagram Style: Katy Perry in Thom Browne Performing at the Celebrate America Special

As part of Joe Biden's Inauguration, Katy Perry performed during the Celebrate America Special and she snapped a pictured of her look for instagram. 

She posed for the gram in a custom THOM BROWNE ensemble which she dressed up with RAHAMINOV diamond earrings. Upon seeing her look, this reminded me of Audrey Hepburn's Givenchy dress in the film ''Funny Face''. 

You can check it out HERE. This is definitely more of a performance piece because on the red carpet, it may come off as costume-y. However I just want to rip whatever that layered piece is supposed to be right off the front because it is unnecessary and unflattering.

Along with Tori Kelly, Julianne Hough also performed this morning at the Walt Disney World Christmas Special and her hairstylist Riawna posted her two different looks to instagram. 

1st Look:

She shined in a ALTUZARRA FALL 2019 gold one-shoulder, ruffle midi dress paired with gold accessories. On the runway, the dress was shown with a gold belt which I wished she kept. It offered up a subtle balance to her golden look. Just to note, Ilana Glazer wore the printed version in November 2019 and Awkwafina wore an edited gold version.

Instagram Style: Tori Kelly in Giambattista Valli Performing at the Walt Disney World Christmas Special

Tori Kelly was one of the performers this morning(December 24th) at the Walt Disney World Christmas Special and her stylist Amanda Lim posted her look to instagram. 

It is Christmas so in the spirit of the holiday, it is no surprise that she chose to wear red. She posed for the gram in a GIAMBATTISTA VALLI long sleeve, ruffle v-neck dress with a satin bow waist sash. 

Love the color but I have only two issues with her look. I wish that her hair was sleeker and off-the-shoulder to compliment that ruffle neckline. Also the red panel under the v-neckline, doesn't work for me either. The color is very off from her Valli dress. 

The neckline should have been shorten or a sheer illusion panel should have been added for coverage. GRAZIELA GEMS jewelry and STUART WEITZMAN heels rounded out her look. What do you think of Tori's Christmas instagram style?

Instagram Style: Gwen Stefani in David Koma Performing at the 2020 Global Citizen Prize Awards

Gwen Stefani performed at the 2020 Global Citizen Prize Awards and her stylist Rob Zangardi posted her look to his instagram page on yesterday(December 20th). 

She posed for gram in a DAVID KOMA FALL 2020 black and silver crystal embellished shirt jacket with a black bralet underneath, with the matching mini skirt. 

This sparkly ensemble was edgy, sexy and cool which is right up Gwen's style alley. I don't see this whole ensemble working on the red carpet unless it's the Grammy's or the VMA's but it was a great performance look for Gwen. 

Her signature ponytail, kohl rimmed eyes which was offset with a nude lip and black patent thigh-high boots put the finishing touches on her look. What do you think of Gwen's instagram style?

Kylie Minogue posted a new look to her instagram page yesterday(December 14th) from her performance during the Christmas with Delta Goodrem Special in Australia. 

Kylie served up some leg action, posing in a GEORGES HOBEIKA SPRING 2021 strapless light blue embellished dress with an asymmetrical split. I am glad that she removed the tulle waist panel because the dress looks so much better without it. 

The tulle adds drama but in this case, less is more. Center part light waves, smokey eyes, silver jewelry and sparkly sandals put the finishing touches on her look. What do you think of Kylie's instagram style?
