2025 Met Gala Celebrating ''Superfine: Tailoring Black Style'' Wrap-up

On Monday(May 5th) the 2025 Met Gala Celebrating ''Superfine: Tailoring Black Style'' was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Colman Domingo wore two different custom looks by VALENTINO and he looked good in both of them. The electric blue, embroidered pleated cape was an ode to Andre Leon Tally and I just loved the color on him. He then switched into a black and white suit which featured a grid print, polka dots and grey cuffed trousers. His looks never disappoints.

'Black Bag' London Premiere

Following the New York premiere, Naomie Harris and the rest of the ''Black Bag'' hit the red carpet for another premiere on Tuesday(March 11th) which was held at the Curzon Mayfair in London

Cate Blanchett wore a LOUIS VUITTON FALL 2023 with detailed sleeves and a cutout in the front, and the back. I can tell you this, I love the boots, but I am not sold on the design of the dress. It just has too much going on, but her is a little better than the runway version.

'Black Bag' NY Premiere

Yesterday evening(March 9th) in New York, the cast of ''Black Bag'' hit the black carpet for the premiere which was held at the AMC Lincoln Square theatre. 

Naomie Harris posed in a SUKEINA two-tone knit embroidered dress that was see-through and featured a fringe hem along with black beading. I am glad that the white collar piece was left out because this dress has a lot going on design. The fit is perfect, but the beading across the crotch was unnecessary. Although, I am not sold on the design, generally speaking she is pretty.

‘The Gray Man’ London Premiere

Following the Berlin premiere, the cast of ‘The Gray Man’ jetted off to London to premiere the film at the BFI Southbank yesterday evening(July 19th). 

Ana de Armas wore another custom LOUIS VUITTON look, this time from the RESORT 2023 collection. I am not sold on the design but her beauty look is flawless which somehow manages to make this piece work. 

Ryan Gosling again wore GUCCI which makes me wonder if he is going to be a brand ambassador for the fashion house. It definitely feels like the look he wore to the LA premiere which is also giving 'Ken' vibes. I like the lavender and the pink together but the pants look a little too tight.

'The Gray Man' Berlin Premiere

Following the LA premiere, the cast of 'The Gray Man' hit the red carpet for the premiere yesterday evening(July 18th) in Berlin. 

Ryan Gosling was giving me Michael Jackson with a Jersey Boys from Broadway mix. I like the top half but I feel like the bottom half should have been styled differently. I saw some images from the side and he actually looked great but from the front, it's not the best.

The Netflix world premiere of ''The Gray Man'' was held at the TCL Chinese Theatre yesterday evening(July 13th) in Hollywood, California

Ana de Armas wore a custom LOUIS VUITTON RESORT 2023 dress with FRED LEIGHTON jewelry. I like the ''warrior'' vibe of the skirt but I don't think it coordinates with the top. Also I feel like she needed a stronger lip color, with an edgier hairstyle to offset the vibe of the skirt. She doesn't look bad overall though.

Rege-Jean Page in Giorgio Armani at ''The Tragedy of Macbeth'' 65th BFI London Film Festival Premiere

Rege-Jean Page attended the premiere of ''The Tragedy of Macbeth'' during the final day of the 65th BFI London Film Festival on Sunday(October 17th). 

Rocking a simple but classic look, he chose the GIORGIO ARMANI ''Madison'' line full-canvas velvet suit which was styled with a white button down shirt and a black bow-tie. 

Thankfully a white pocket square was added because it added a nice balance to his all black look. Overall, I thought he looked clean and sharp for the occasion.
