2024 BAFTA Tea Party

Following her attendance at the Govenor awards, Emily Blunt, Rosamund Pike, America Ferrera, Greta Gerwig, Emerald Fennell, Rosamund Pike, Greta Lee, Ayo Edebiri and more attended the 2024 BAFTA Tea Party which was held at The Maybourne Beverly Hills in Beverly Hills, CA. 

Fantasia Barrino was head to toe in DOLCE & GABBANA and while the brand may not be popular by many, she does look great. However, I don't think the pieces mix well together. 

Elizabeth Debicki kept it simple in a RALPH LAUREN black tuxedo dress which was styled with CALZEDONIA tights and ALEXANDRE BIRMAN boots. On this occasion, I feel like a sleek, stiletto pump or ankle booties would have been a better shoe choice.

2023 British Independent Film Awards

The 26th British Independent Film Awards was held at the Old Billingsgate on Sunday(December 3rd) in London.

Claire Foy looked pretty wearing a signature draped gown by VIVIENNE WESTWOOD. The black strapless, velvet gown featured a contrasting silk ivory panel on the neckline. 

Sheila Atim style game is always on point and this time was no different. She looked gorgeous wearing a ROKSANDA gown.

2023 Evening Standard Theatre Awards

Yesterday evening(November 19th) in London, the 2023 Evening Standard Theatre Awards was held at the Claridge's Hotel.

Sheila Atim looked fantastic as always wearing a Bespoke EMILIA WICKSTEAD dark green jumpsuit. Some might argue that the cutout detail wasn't needed and probably not but she pulls it off perfectly. I kinda wish she wore gold metallic heels though but I still like this. 

Tom Hiddleston wore a RALPH LAUREN velvet tuxedo. Love that he chose it in the dark green hue because it works on him.

Last night(October 6th) in New York, Zawe Ashton and Rachel Brosnahan was on hand for the 'Slave Play' Broadway Opening Night at The John Golden Theatre. 

Zawe Ashton made a shiny entrance courtesy of SIMONE ROCHA. Her FALL 2019 white organza and sequin cold-shoulder cocktail dress was teamed with metallic pumps. However oxfords or brogues would have been a better shoe choice. As always, she went the natural route makeup wise, finishing off her look with off-the-shoulder tresses.

Zawe Ashton in Erdem at the 'Betrayal' Broadway Opening Night Party

Zawe Ashton is currently performing on Broadway and this evening(September 5th) in New York, she attended the opening night party for 'Betrayal'.

For the occasion, she chose a ERDEM RESORT 2020 one-shoulder, leg-o-mutton sleeve ankle length dress, with an asymmetrical, ruffle two tier hem skirt. For balance and a added pop of color, a red velvet, bow sash nipped the waist. 

I am having a little trouble liking this. I like the design, the flower print and the color of the dress merged with the sash. However it's the fabric that I am not crazy about but it looks a lot better in the look book. 

She finished up with straight off-the-shoulder tresses and a red pout. Is Zawe selling this Erdem dress to you?

Zawe Ashton in Erdem at the Sea Wall / A Life Broadway Opening Night

Zawe Ashston is one of the stars in the Sea Wall / A Life play and yesterday evening(August 8th) Anne Hathaway and Maggie Gyllenhaal joined her at the Broadway Opening Night at The Hudson Theatre in New York City.

For the most part, Zawe tends to wear a lot of Roksanda pieces but on this occasion, she opted for a ERDEM dress. She looked simply beautiful wearing a black lace embroidered, satin dress by the designer. 

She is also known for wearing flats or low heels on the carpet which is no surprise here. While I would have loved to see her wearing oxfords, she opted for YUUL YIE kitten heels. Straight behind-the-ear tresses and a red pout rounded out her look.

The 2019 Olivier Awards with Mastercard, took place at the Royal Albert Hall yesterday(April 7th) in London, England.

Gillian Anderson, who made an rare red carpet appearance, wore a GIORGIO ARMANI PRIVE FALL 2018 black velvet & semi-sheer beaded gown. Those spaghetti straps are bothering me, it should have been removed. A red JIMMY CHOO clutch rounded out her look.

Zawe Ashton in Roksanda at the 2019 EE British Academy Film Awards

Her style maybe a little predictable but she tends to deliver. Awe Ashton was on hand for the 2019 EE British Academy Film Awards this evening(February 10th) at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Wearing her third look from this collection, she wore a ROKSANDA SPRING 2019 fuchsia high-low hem gown, featuring contrasting velvet straps and a ruffle pleated back. While she could have easily gone with heels, Zawe wore black flats. 

However I think oxfords would have worked so much better, to add a touch of masculinity to her feminine gown. Playing off of the hue of her dress, a semi matching lip was added to her beauty look. The only downfall here, is the shape is coming off as a maternity piece. What do you think of Zawe's look?

Following their attendance at Sundance, Zawe Ashton and Natalia Dyer jetted off to LA along with Charlie Heaton for the premiere of 'Velvet Buzzsaw at The Egyptian Theatre yesterday evening(January 28th) in LA.

Zawe Ashton wore another look by ROKSANDA, this time from the SPRING 2019 collection. Her white layered silk-chiffon, flowy dress, featured a contrasting black print, and straps. This maybe an off-season piece but I am sold on it's easy, breezy vibe for the occasion. However I can't say that I am loving the make-up.

Zawe Asshton made her way to the red carpet yesterday evening(September 27th) for the premiere of ‘A Star is Born’ at Vue West End in London. 

Zawe wore a ISA ARFEN FALL 2018 gold ruffle, asymmetrical gathered dress which was layered with white joggers. The dress is a difficult piece, mainly because of the fabric and the shape.

While I am not loving this for those reasons, kudos to her for taking on a challenging piece which is something that she rarely does. Did Zawe sell you on this look?

2018 Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition Preview Party

Yesterday evening(June 6th) the 2018 Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition preview party took place at the Burlington House in London.   

Zawe Ashton looked lovely in the EMILIA WICKSTEAD PRE-FALL 2018 'Judta' floral mini dress with a skirted waist. Her make-up artist Nadia Afzali wanted to create a flawless make-up look with a feminine floral looked which had a successful outcome. Side parted tresses and white slingback pumps finished up her look. 

Anya Taylor-Joy wore a HUISHAN ZHANG RESORT 2018 white & gold feather embroidered ankle length dress with a square neckline. To avoid a color wash-out, a colored lip was added to her beauty look. SABINE GETTY earrings, JIMMY CHOO sandals and a high ponytail finished up her look. 

Stacy Martin wore a CHRISTIAN DIOR COUTURE layered pink floral embroidered tulle ankle length dress. While I don't favor her shoe choice and I wish her hair was completely off-the-shoulder, the dress worked for the occasion. A colored lip finished up her look.

On yesterday evening(June 7th) Zawe Ashton attended the preview party for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition at Royal Academy of Arts in London,.

She hit the orange carpet in a ROKSANDA SPRING 2017 pink silk dress that stopped just above her ankles and featured long butterfly sleeves with a contrasting pastel yellow stripe cuffs and a cinched waist. 

She also accessorized her look with SPRING 2017 accessories which featured a red leather, gold ring handle bag and stripe panel kitten heel pumps. Are you feeling Zawe's butterfly sleeve dress?

It's been a while since I have seen Zawe Ashton on the red carpet but she returned yesterday(February 13th) for the 2017 Elle Style Awards in London.  

For the occasion, she wore a MOLLY GODDARD SPRING 2017 black & white checkered print ruffled knee length dress. Wearing her dress opposite the runway, Zawe wore one of the double straps off-the-shoulder which I prefer/ 

Also she could have easily wore sandals with this dress but instead she opted for DORATEYMUR white & silver ring loafers. A red lip and SARA ROBERTSSON jewelry finished up her look.

British actress Zawe Ashton attended the 2016 Vogue 100 Gala Dinner yesterday evening at the East Albert Lawn, Kensington Gardens in London. 

She hit the red carpet in a OSMAN SPRING 2016 strapless marigold floor length dress which featured a contrasting navy beaded tree branch & red beaded roots and side pockets which she utilized.    

I actually like this dress but my issue is the fit along the bust. It just sits too low on Zawe and looks unflattering. I much prefer the dress on the model. Keeping the styling simply, she finished up her look was topped off with a high bun and a light espresso smokey offset with a bare lip. Are you feeling Zawe's look?

English actress Zawe Ashton hit the red carpet yesterday evening at the 2016 Olivier Awards at The Royal Opera House in London.

For the occasion, she wore a STELLA MCCARTNEY RESORT 2016 voluminous cream peplum halter pleated dress which we saw on Krysten Ritter on the new cover of Glamour Mexico. 

On the beauty end, she went with a high bun and a red lip. The minimal styling allowed nothing to overshadow her voluminous dress. While I don't favor her gold pumps, she doesn't look bad. However the shape is not the easiest for anyone to pull off. Do you think Zawe made this look work?
