Laura Dern & Amanda Brugel in Jonathan Simkhai at the Canadian Consulate's 69th Primetime Emmy Awards After Party


Following their attendance at the Emmy's, Laura Dern & Amanda Brugel stepped out in different red JONATHAN SIMKHAI dresses at the Canadian Consulate's 69th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards After Party at a Official Residence of Canada in LA. 

Laura Dern wore a flattering fitted dress with long slashed, ruffle sleeves and studded embellishments. In the look book the dress was shown off-the-shoulder which gave it a fresh, modern approach. However Laura chose to wear the dress on her dress. I prefer the look book version. Black slingback flats and side parted tresses finished up her look.

Amanda Brugel wore a FALL 2017 sleeveless embellished, ruffle lace dress which was lined for coverage and featured a tier skirt. Beauty wise, she kept it simple with a ponytail and a matching lip which topped off her look along with ankle strap sandals.

69th Primetime Emmy Awards Wrap-up


Yesterday evening(September 17th) the 69th Emmy Awards took place at The Microsoft Theater in LA. To see all of the celeb looks, click HERE and continue below for the wrap-up. 

Gugu Mbatha-Raw wore a custom BOSS lime green sequined gown with an open slit and strapless bodice. Beauty wise, she kept it simple with minimal make-up and a up-do which topped off her look along with gold earrings & peep-toe pumps. 

Issa Rae wore custom red long sleeve VERA WANG floor sweeping dress with a one-shoulder & cold-shoulder detail, a tulle ruffle sleeves and a cascading asymmetrical ruffle panel in the back. While her look doesn't excite like it usually does. she still looked pretty.

Reese Witherspoon ditched wearing a scaled back for the evening wearing a STELLA MCCARTNEY blue satin tuxedo dress with a matching lace bra underneath. She dressed up her look with DAVID WEBB jewelry. Matching CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN velvet pumps, a red lip and center part straight tresses finished up her look.

The men came with some style game yesterday evening(September 17th) for the 69th Emmy Awards at The Microsoft Theater in LA. To see all of the celeb looks, click HERE.

Sterling K. Brown who also walked away a winner, wore a VALENTINO black two-piece tuxedo which was styled with a white button down shirt, a black bow tie, a white pocket square, JIMMY CHOO shoes and a HARRY WINSTON watch.

Donald Glover who won two awards, looked great in a purple two-piece GUCCI tuxedo with a contrasting black lapel blazer and a yellow pocket square. A white button down shirt and black dress shoes finished up his look. 

Matt Bomer wore a black printed GIORGIO ARMANI two-piece tuxedo styled with a white button down shirt, a white button down shirt, a white pocket square, CARTIER cufflinks & watch and TOD'S loafers.

Dwyane Wade & Gabrielle Union at the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards


Dwyane Wade & Gabrielle Union coupled on the red carpet this evening(September 17th) for the 69th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards at the Microsoft Theater in LA.

Dwyane Wade kept it simple but looked great in a VALENTINO black two-piece tuxedo which was styled with a white button down shirt, a black bow tie and black dress shoes. 

Gabrielle Union was beautiful in a ZUHAIR MURAD RESORT 2018 black sheer beaded cape gown with a deep v-neckline and a crisscross back. Adding some extra sparkle to her look, she accessorized with BUCCELLATI jewelry. A center part curly ponytail, minimal make-up and SOPHIA WEBSTER sandals finished up her look.

Halston Sage wore a RESORT 2018 white hand pleated embroidered floor length gown with cold-shoulders. The young starlet looked simply pretty. She dressed up her beautiful look with CHOPARD jewelry and a white clutch.

Nominee Sarah Paulson hit the red carpet at the 69th Emmy Awards this evening(September 17th) at the Microsoft Theater in LA.

Making a sparkly entrance, she wore a CAROLINA HERRERA SPRING 2018 silver sequin ankle length dress with puffy short sleeves and a cutout back. I really like the dress but I wish it was a bit more tailored on her and a few inches shorter. 

Also I kinda wish she kept the runway pumps as it provided a nice pop of color to the dress. LORRAINE SCHWARTZ jewelry, a metallic clutch and a center part up-do topped off her look. Did Sarah sell you on her look?

For the occasion, she rocked a BRANDON MAXWELL SPRING 2018 fuchsia long sleeve floor length gown with a cape detail & v-neck back. The striking hue is what gives this gown a standout appeal. 

However my only quibble are those pointy toe pumps. Sandals would have been ideal. Also I like that she ditched her signature hairstyle for a ponytail with bangs. Statement jewelry and a glittery clutch finished up her look. Are you feeling Jane's look?

Anna Chlumsky wore a sleeveless silver sequin floor length gown with v-neckline and a ruffle train detail. I like the idea of this gown but as you know sequin tends to photograph badly. In some images it made her look pregnant from the front. I don't hate it but I don't love it either.

Shannon Purser however looked divine in her emerald embellished ruffle, pleated gown despite those unfortunate creases and the shape of the skirt which is not the best. With her beautiful SAWROVSKI jewelry to hair & make-up, this is still a win for me.
