Christan Siriano Spring / Summer 2011 collection

I love going to Christian Siriano's fashion show because it always leaves me breathless. It was a mad house of fashionistas cramming to get in to the show to see the Project Runway winner's collection. Sessile Lopez opened the show once again wearing a tan leather belted safari jacket and white slim fit trousers. Christian included wide-legged trousers in his collection along with safari shorts, cocktail dresses, jackets and over-sized gowns. Organza, silk, leather, tulle, metallic tweed, snake skin and printed taffeta were used throughout the collection. Blouses had tieres of ruffles, wing sleeves and one-shoulder styles. Siriano dabbled in different cultures for his spring collection like Africa, Asia and India.
The collection included a signature Asian fabric print based of Chinese and Buddhist temples. Deep reds, khaki and metallic gold was the color palettes in the collection. My favorite piece was the last number, the paprika tulle one-shoulder draped gown( shown above ) that had an insane amount of fabric. Would love to put it on for fun. Get ready fashionistas because his shoes for Payless are edgier than before. The uniquely curved heeled shoe design had a very structural shape that I absolutely loved. Can't wait until they hit stores. Check out some images from the show but to see the full collection go to style.com.
