Elie Tahari Spring / Summer 2012

Every season, Elie Tahari is one of the main shows that I look forward to seeing. He creates wearable clothing for all occasions. During the show, fashionista's including me, were oohing and awing at some of the pieces as the models hit the runway. ELIE TAHARI'S SPRING / SUMMER 2012 collection started off with sand & white mixed with gold, then onto sand & pale blue mixed with pops of gold, then orange & mustard and then he closed out with black and gold. The collection had an egyptian feel to it. It delivered tailored long sleeveless vests & jackets that were paired with fluid skirts, denim and trousers. Blouses were loose with ties or buttons. Movement was definitely key along with detailing. Gold mesh accents, sheer fabrics and sequins were also used. My favorite pieces were the white and medium wash denim that had peek-a-boo gold mesh adornments on them. Their were a few pieces that might be hard to wear like the harem pants however they do look nice. Even though the tone changed a bit in the middle of the show, it ended on a high note with the black pieces. The black satin harem jumper that was adorned with a extreme cape like feature in the back which was the second to the last look, was also one of my favorite pieces. Continue to see the rest of the collection.
