Yesterday NYFW kicked off and one of my first shows that I attended was the BCBG BY MAX AZRIA F/W 2012 fashion show. Designer Lubov and Max Azria has been playing around with the color blocking trend for several seasons now however they took it to new heights with contrasting pleating in bold coloring. Belted trenches, fluid wide-leg trousers, sheer paneling, mid-length color blocked dresses were flared or pleated and even came down in a straight cut. Sleeves were also fluid and came in 3/4 lengths and jackets had fur sleeves. When it comes to simple and chic frocks, BCBG is the go to designer and I am eagerly anticipating fall so I can get my hands on some of the pieces from this collection. Some people thought that it was time to say goodbye to the color blocking trend but I think it will be here to stay. Personally I really like the trend. What do you think?
