Show Review: Costello Tagliapietra Fall 2013

Yesterday design duo COSTELLO TAGLIAPIETRA presented their Fall 2013 collection at Milk Studios in NYC and fashionista's like me, flocked over to the meatpacking district to see what they had in store for fall.

Colors were rich, in hues like wine, fuchsia, burnt orange and forest green along with florals. They presented classic draped dresses in silk & jersey, and some were even done with obi belts for a defined silhouette.

Some of the dresses were color blocked from front to back giving a interesting take on this lasting trend. For example, the acid green dress(above far right) is turquoise in the back.

They stepped a little out of their comfort zone, offering up layered looks with cropped knits that looked cozy. Beauty wise, models lips were done in a neon red, which definitely stood out on the runway. Overall, the collection had easy, wearable pieces for someone who wanted to look good in no time.
