Natalie Portman in Valentino at the 'Jane Got A Gun' NYC Premiere

Following the Paris premiere, Natalie Portman jetted here to NYC for the "Jane Got A Gun" premiere at The Museum of Modern Art last night.

Turning to VALENTINO, she wore a black sheer beaded floral tulle gown with three-quarter flare sleeves from the RESORT 2016 collection. Natalie's dress was featured unlined in the look book but naturally she lined hers for the premiere.

With a detailed dress like this, it's no surprise that Natalie opted not to add any jewelry. Beauty wise, she went with an simple up-do and a bold red lip, topping off her look with an emerald satin clutch. Natalie is beautiful indeed but she is not giving this look life for me. Also while I don't hate the lining, I don't like it either. Does the lining work for you?

  1. Another look in the same ballpark from her, but this one is slightly more intriguing thanks to the colourful floral detailing. The lining is an inevitable choice, plus one can still see the beading pattern popping against black - it works just fine (probably even better than had it been a nude lining, I'm tired of the nude-y-sheer feel). The bold lip adds to the dark intrigue of the look.
Overall, I think the dark romance she's been going for lately suits her (somewhat Keira Knightley-ish) although I'm hoping she will lighten it up a bit soon as this is starting to look tired.

  2. I don't know, mixed feelings, to me she looked beautiful in Paris, here is good but the lining bothers me somehow, the details can be seen but it doesn't look as good.
