Penelope Cruz in Balmain at the 2016 Jose Maria Forque Awards

It's been a little while since we have seen Penelope Cruz on the carpet & she returned yesterday with the same underwhelming style. She attended the 2016 Jose Maria Forque Awards at the Palacio Municipal de Congresos in Madrid, Spain.

She wore a BALMAIN SPRING 2016 black fishnet lined tiered ruffled dress with a deep v-neckline. Penelope's dress was altered from the runway version which was sheer, with padded long sleeves and a corset.

Penelope's overall look is boring, forgettable and unflattering. The LOUBOUTIN shoes don't compliment her dress and it loses it edgy, sultry appeal on her. Light smokey eyes and straight off-the-shoulder locks completed her look. What do you think of Penelope's all black look?

  1. It's a bit boring, and I don't like the uninspired peep-toes, but I do like the modifications - the look has a more demure and sophisticated appeal (that she obviously has a better chance of pulling off than some cool edge). The runway version looks tacky is overworked.
