Beyonce in Dsquared2 & Ashton Michael Performing at the 2016 Superbowl Halftime Show

Beyonce took the stage last night along with Bruno Mars and headliner Coldplay at the Pepsi Halftime Show during Superbowl 50 at the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, CA.

Busting out to her new song 'Formation' which she debut on Saturday a day before the performance, she wore a custom ASHTON MICHAEL black & gold bamboo knit center front zipper bodysuit & a custom DSQUARED2 jacket. Her custom black leather jacket with gold metal military details payed homage to Michael Jackson's look when he performed at the Superbowl in 1993.

Her look was topped off with LORRAINE SCHWARTZ jewelry, CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN black & gold boots, black fisnet stockings with over-the-knee socks(which she removed) and big teethed curly hair. Her stylist Marni Senofonte styled her dancers in Doc Martains and custom black leather looks by ZAYNA BAYNE which payed homage to The Black Panthers  to match Bey's look. Her look was definitely on tune for the performance & the message she was delivering.

  1. I like the homage to MJ but the whole getup just looks bad and tacky on her imo.

  2. I agree with NatCC, the idea was good but not the execution, it looks tacky and cheap.
    The wig is awful.

  3. The question is just why does her bottom half have to be reduced to, well, underclothes? I like these strong female singers and the messages they're putting out there, but she could have looks as great if she were wearing shorts, trousers, etc. If an outfit is for a performance I agree that it can go way more avant garde, but the fact that that currently translates to this - as it does with tons of other female singers these days - is just annoying. As a totally un-prudish lover of fashion; a hearty advocate of walking on the wild side, I'm bored that this is the 'there's no question of my record going triple platinum' version of that.
