Yesterday evening the 2016 Academy of Country Music Awards took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. To see all of the red carpet looks, click HERE and continue below for the wrap-up.
Carrie Underwood wore a sleeveless shimmer DAVIDSON ZANINE gold beaded floor length dress. This is sheer number is a little different for her norm but it's nothing fresh or new. Also I wish there was a pop of color here to give her look balance. A smokey eye and a side parted medium cut completed her look.
Kelsea Ballerini wore a GEORGES HOBEIKA FALL 2016 strapless purple lace embroidered lace gown which was accented with a purple leather waistband. For an added pop of color, she accessorized with turquoise stone earrings. Straight tresses and a selection of rings completed her look.
Mickey Guyton wore a shimmery silver metallic CHRISTIAN SIRIANO SPRING 2016 strapless gown with a detailed train in the back. While I thought the dress looked great, the overall look fell flat due to the styling. I don't like the silver clutch and I wish she added complimentary colored accessories or a colored lip here.
Kacey Musgraves wore a black ZAC POSEN gown with a built in strapless crop lace bandeau. Her look is a bit dark with a sleek attitude and she looks great. GRAZIELA GEMS & MATTIA CELO jewelry, STUAT WEITZMAN heels, smoke eyes and straight, slick behind-the-ear tresses completed her look.
Cam also wore a look from the CHRISTIAN SIRIANO SPRING 2016 collection. Her yellow mock neck gown with a cut-out yoke hit the runway in black. However I am glad that Cam chose it in yellow as it makes a better statement. I just wish she went with a complimentary colored accessory.
Jana Kramer wore a RUBIN SINGER SPRING 2016 red jersey high slit gown with a cowl neckline. She looks great but the overall look doesn't excite. Silver jewelry, straight off-the-shoulder locks and smokey eyes completed her look.
Little Big Town was on the scene and the were one of the night's big winners.
Phillip Sweet wore distressed denim jacket, a dotted button down shirt, black jeans and black boots.
Karen Fairchild wore a white lace embroidered three-quarter sleeve mini dress styled with a silver JIMMY CHOO clutch and DIOR red patent thigh high boots. I wish the hair was off-the-shoulder.
Jimi Westbrook went the cool, edgy route rocking a black leather moto jacket, a black button down shirt and grey jeans.
Kimberly Schlapman wore a one-shoulder midnight navy tulle layered gown which she accessorized with LOREE RODKIN earrings.
The Band Perry walked the red carpet together and the sister/brother group looked great.
Neil Perry wore a printed ETRO SPRING 2016 two-piece suit which he styled with a metallic button down shirt and baroques.
Kimberly Perry wore a ROBERTO CAVALLI sheer long sleeve nude & gold sequin v-neck layered gown. I guess chokers are really making a comeback but it doesn't work with her look here. I like them in general but not on this occasion. Also a color lip wouldn't have hurt.
Reid Perry wore a navy BURBERRY two-piece suit which he paired with a simple white button down shirt and loafers.
