2016 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner Wrap-up

Last night the 2016 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner took place at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C. To see all of the red carpet looks, click HERE and continue below for the wrap-up.

Sophia Bush wore a MICHAEL KORS PRE-FALL 2016 pink long sleeve dress with a lace insert skirt. Her dress is a modified version of the look book version which featured spaghetti straps. For a balanced contrast, she added a deeper pink lip color. A beaded clutch, a complimentary up-do and a diamond bracelet, earrings & rings topped off her look.

Gabrielle Union looked great in a strapless NAEEM KHAN navy & black beaded gown with a split neck detail. A selection of blue stone diamond rings, a colored lip and a half up half down hairstyle completed her look.

Helen Mirren payed tribute to the late icon Prince by wearing his symbol on her chest along with a purple long sleeve DOLCE & GABBAAN lace dress with a square neckline. A colored lip and embroidered small tote topped off her look.

La La Anthony wore the ROLAND MOURET 'Levitha' fuchsia grosgrain-trimmed crepe gown with fishtail hem and contrasting black straps. I feel like I have seen this RM gown before but this is one of her best looks in a while.

Tracee Ellis Ross wore a black JOVANI velvet halter dress with cut-out sides and a train detail. While the look doesn't excite, she looks nice for the occasion. LISA EISNER jewelry, an EMM KUO clutch and her signature natural curls topped off her look.

Karlie Kloss looked great in a DEREK LAM FALL 2016 white and nude panel dress with padded shoulders and a pleated bodice. Gold accessories, a complimentary up-do and a red lip topped off her look.

Adriana Lima wore a JUAN CARLOS OBANDO FALL 2016 red long sleeve cold-shoulder dress with a front split, a cut-out bodice and a mock neck. Her dress also featured a matching sash detail which she tied in the back instead of the front like featured in the look book version. My main issue here is the shoes. A strappy sandal would have been ideal over her gold satin pumps.

Jaimie Alexander wanted to make an entrance so she chose a CHRISTIAN SIRIANO PRE-FALL 2016 black strapless mermaid gown with a dramatic tiered hem. She dressed up her look simply with a diamond necklace.

Regina King wore a KAYAT SPRING 2015 white long sleeve beaded v-neck dress with a short train detail. Even though I can't get on board with her hairstyle, she looks great in this dress.

Rachel McAdams wore a black strapless GIORGIO ARMANI embellished column dress. Rachel didn't looked but I still felt a bit underwhelmed. Also I don't like the black choker. A pink lip and a up-do completed her look.

Vivica Fox wore a silver sleeveless JENNY PACKHAM beaded dress which she accessorized with HELEN YARMAK jewelry. The earrings are a bit overkill but she looked great.

Kendall Jenner wore a black strapless VIVIENNE WESTWOOD COUTURE styled with black strappy sandals. I am rarely sold on her looks but this I like. Simple but with a sultry appeal.

AnnaLynne McCord wore a INGIE PARIS FALL 2016 colorful printed dress with a long train detail and a long armhole opening. In some of her pictures, it just looks like too much fabric at the hem. While I don't hate this look, I don't like it either.

Rosario Dawson wore a black layered dress with a sheer dotted overlay. Center part curls and smokey eyes topped off forgettable look.

Emily Ratajokowski wore a MONIQUE LHUILLIER FALL 2015 emerald long sleeve floral embroidered layered dress. Emily is the sheer wearing type of girl so I was surprised to see her dress lined which was unlined on the runway.

Out of all of the looks, Emma Watson & Michelle Dockery was my favorites. What do you think of the looks here and who were your favorites?

  1. Emma Watson wins, and I also liked Michelle Dockery.
From this group, probably Emily Ratajokowski (although the look feels a bit too fall).
