Today we have a fashion battle between a 'Supermodel' and a 'Singing Actress', so let the fashion war begin.
Adriana Lima attended the 2016 MET Gala on Monday(May 2nd) in NYC. For the occasion, she wore a GIAMABATTISTA VALLI SPRING 2016 COUTURE dress featured a sleeveless black & white sequin top, the designer's skinny signature bow waist sash and a blue & white beaded embroidered tulle layered skirt. She accessorized with a ROGER VIVIER clutch, statement earrings and black sandals. A complimentary up-do and red lip topped off her look.
However Allison Williams wore it first most recently on April 13, 2016 at The Parker Institute For Cancer Immunotherapy Gala in LA. Allison kept her look interesting with a pair of cobalt blue suede PAUL ANDREW pumps. Smokey eyes and a complimentary up-do finished up her look.
So which one of these ladies won the fashion war?
While I thought both ladies looked beautiful in this dress, I am going with Allison Williams. I like that the dress retains it similar shape like featured on the runway on Adriana but Allison gets extra points for the PA pumps. However what confuses me is that Adriana wore something to the gala which was just seen on the carpet when Valli has so many other options. Weigh in, who do you think won this fashion war?

ReplyDeleteAllison all the way. I prefer her shoe choice and there is something about the silhouette that doesn't work for me on Adriana. Allison also overall looks more..effortlessly great.
