Jessica Chastain in Derek Lam at the Jazz At Lincoln Center 2016 Gala

Last night Jessica Chastain hit the red carpet at the Jazz at Lincoln Center 2016 Gala 'Jazz and Broadway' which honored Diana & Joe Dimenna and Ahmad Jamal at Frederick P. Rose Hall in NYC.

The actress sparkled in a DEREK LAM FALL 2016 two-tone dress which featured a see through sleeveless beaded top and a silver sequin beaded skirt. If this looks familiar, that's because Naomi Watts wore a modified version of it in March 2016.

While I think this dress looks great on Jessica, what's putting me off from loving it is the fact that she is wearing a white or nude bra under the top. Maybe she was going for that flesh tone look but it doesn't work for me. I think a black would have been ideal. Center part light waves, smokey eyes and SOPHIA WEBSTER black sandals topped off her look. Does Jessica's look work for you?

  1. I agree. That white band is distracting and making her look thicker than she really is in the mid section. I prefer the neckline from the catwalk anyway. The skirt is really interesting.

  2. She can do better than that.
