Last night(May 2nd) Jessica Chastain, Katy Perry, Elizabeth Debicki, Emma Stone & Mia Wasikowska wore PRADA at the 2016 MET Gala, Manus X Machina-Fashion in an Age of Technology at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC.
Jessica Chastain chose a peacock blue and black silk gabardine embroidered halter gown. I can't say that I like the embroidered bib but she looked beautiful and she wore this gown. A side parted straight bob and red lip topped off her look.
Katy Perry made a dramatic, dark entrance wearing a black, midnight blue and emerald green velvet open back short sleeve belted gown with gold enameled collage embroidery. She vamped up her look with a black matte lip and blue kohl rimmed eyes. Accessorized with black leather fingerless opera gloves and gold statement jewelry, she topped off her look with sleek high bun with bangs. Her look comes off a bit costumy to me.
Elizabeth Debicki wore a green & white flower embroidered FALL 2016 dress with pleated puffy sleeves. Elizabeth is wearing a modified dress of the runway version which was shorter with a v-neckline. BULGAR jewelry, a small clutch and her signature pixie topped off her look.
Emma Stone was unrecognizable to me rocking dark side parted tresses. Her white cady silk gown with hip-high slit and a plunging neckline was adorned with a embellished harness inspired hardware piece. I don't get this at all.
Mia Wasikowski wore a red wool gazarre pleated skirt gown with a cut-out satin embroidered bodice. Mia is never one to accessorize her looks or do anything extra with her make-up. However the minimal styling always works for her.

The green dress is really beautiful with its 40ies aesthetics but so unrelated with the event that makes you wonder if she knew beforehand where she was heading to.
ReplyDeleteKate Perry looks like a clown. A terrifying one from a horror movie.
Chastain looks beautiful. Love that color on her.
