The 2016 MET Gala, Manus X Machina-Fashion in an Age of Technology took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC last night(May 2nd). You can check out all of the ladies looks HERE but the men came out as well in their best.
Idris Elba was one of the co-chairs of the event wearing a three-piece TOM FORD classic black tuxedo with a notch lapel fishtail coat which was a adorned with a boutonnière. He paired his tux with a white button down shirt, a white bow tie, a white pocket square and black shiny shoes. I just love Idris and he looks handsome here.
Jared Leto wore a custom GUCCI three-piece white satin peak lapel tailcoat with a white piqué cotton gilet, white evening shirt, a crystal brooch and a hand carved black lacquer cane with silver & crystal embellished cat head detail.
Tom Hiddleston went the classic route as well in a three-piece RALPH LAUREN tuxedo with a fishtail coat. His look was styled with a white button down shirt, a white bow tie, MONTBLANC cufflinks & studs and JOHNSTON & MURPHY shoes
Lewis Hamilton had fun with his look wearing a three-piece DOLCE & GABBANA navy houndstooth double breasted tuxedo styled with a navy bow tie. The race car driver kept his look interesting with velvet gold embroidered loafers.
Robert Pattinson walked the carpet with his lady love wearing a DIOR HOMME two-piece white & black suit styled with a black bow tie and dress shoes.
FKA Twigs wore a ATELIER VERSACE dress adorned with a harness inspired overlay. Her dress also featured a high split and a open-back. Twigs usually takes fashion risk but she scaled back a bit opting for a sultry look. I think a complimentary colored lip would have added a nice balance here.
Wiz Khalifa wore a custom RAG & BONE evening white & ivory shawl collar wool tuxedo with a satin lapels. The rapped ditched a tie, keeping the styling of his look simple. TIFFANY & CO jewelry finished up his look.
