Ruth Negga in Valentino Couture at the 2017 MET Gala

Making her first appearance at the event, Ruth Negga hit the red carpet at the Rei Kawakubo Comme des Garcons-Art of the In-Between 2017 MET Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art on May 1st in New York.

Wearing one of her go to brands, she wore a VALENTINE SPRING 2017 COUTURE a printed turtleneck embroidered cape floor length dress with pleated side panels. The shape of this dress may not be the easiest to pull off for everyone but it worked on Ruth.

Adding a little urban, edge to her look, Ruth rocked braided corn rows. Minimal make-up, TIFFANY & CO jewelry and a mint clutch finished up her look. Do you think Ruth stood out for her first appearance at the gala?
