Yesterday evening(August 2nd) the Hollywood Foreign Press Association(HFPA) 2017 annual Grants Banquet took place at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA.
Alison Brie worked a sexy look courtesy of THAI NGUYEN. She wore the designer's PRE-FALL 2017 'Sienna' black & gold sleeveless beaded fringe cocktail dress which she accessorized with an EVA FEHREN ring and JIMMY CHOO sandals.
Aja Naomi King was a standout in the REFORMATION 'Rambla' sunflower yellow floor length halter dress with a ruffle bodice and a crisscross strap, cut-out back. She looked simply pretty and I love the color. Side parted waves and a red lip finished up her look.
Jenny Slate wore an ETRO SPRING 2017 black & white monochrome ensemble which featured the Saffron stripe, wrap jacket with a contrasting white collar & cuff and the matching stripe 'Maglia Cedre' cape skirt with a fringe hem. Jenny ditched the black runway belt for a skinny white belt. Love the jacket but the skirt is not working on her and I am not feeling the hair either. I think she should have gone with a different bottom. ILEANE MAKRI earrings and the NICHOLAS KIRKWOOD 'Penelope' sandals finished up her look.
Elisabeth Moss looked great in a PREEN BY THORNTON BREGAZZI RESORT 2018 black short sleeve floral embroidered dress which she accessorized with the EDIE PARKER 'Jean' yellow clutch and the STELLA LUNA 'Indispensable' ankle strap pumps.
Chelsea Handler looked great as well wearing a CINQ A SEPT SPRING 2017 black sheer long sleeve midi dress with silver beading and a slit detail. An up-do with side swept bangs and black ankle strap pumps finished up her look.
Katherine Langford wore a long sleeve black & red GIVENCHY floral fitted dress. I feel like I have seen this dress before on the carpet but she looked nice either way. BELADORA jewelry and black sandals finished up her look.
Zoe Lister Jones wore a long sleeve velvet floral LONGCHAMP dress which she offset with nude sandals. The dress feels a bit heavy for the season but she still looked great. IRENE NEUWIRTH earrings, a slick side parted bun and red lips finished up her look.
Chrissy Metz looked nice in a black & red velvet floral dress that stopped just above her knees and featured a v-neckline and a waistband that pulled in at the waist. Black strappy flats finished up her look.
Kathryn Hahn wore a long sleeve black cut-out & lace panel dress with a ruffle bodice. An off-the-shoulder hairstyle and more interesting pair of heels instead of her SCHUTZ ankle strap pumps would have made this look work better.
