92nd Academy Awards Wrap-up

Regina King was beautiful and my best dressed pick in a ATELIER VERSACE peach-toned silk dress with an asymmetric bodice, done entirely in hand-embroidered Swarovski crystals which she accessorized with HARRY WINSTON jewelry and STUART WEITZMAN jewelry. The simplistic beauty look allowed her gown to remain center stage as it should.

Cynthia Erivo also wore custom ATLIER VERSACE and she utilized the split on her white one-shoulder gown, which she accessorized with PIAGET jewelry and STUART WIETZMAN sandals. I am loving all of this.

Padma Lakshmi, Dascha Polanco, Niecy Nash, Patricia Clarkson & Chrissy Metz chose CHRISTIAN SIRIANO for the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards this evening(September 22nd) at the Microsoft Theater in LA.

Padma Lakshmi wore a RESORT 2020 light blue draped halter gown. The back is where the drama is but the soft light blue hue is striking as well. Despite her nipples showing, this is a great look.

Yesterday evening(April 7th) the celebs hit the grey carpet for the 54th Academy of Country Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV.

Nicole Kidman was on hand to support hubby Keith Urban. She tends to chose hard to wear pieces and this time was no different. Her CHRISTOPHER KANE FALL 2019 black crystal lace & mesh panel midi dress. The v-neck was shorten on Nicole's dress which worked in her favor. The sleeves are weird and the dress is not the prettiest. However for some reason I like it and I can only see Nicole wearing this dress, no one else.

50th NAACP Image Awards Wrap-up

Last night(March 30th) the 50th NAACP Image Awards took place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California. To see all of the celeb looks, click HERE and continue below for the wrap-up.

Regina Hall wore the RAMY BROOK 'Linley' rose pink one-shoulder dress, featuring a cutout knotted waist, and a high slit. If I had to nitpick, I wish the hair was completely off-the-shoulders.

Tika Sumpter presented wearing the SAFIYAA FALL 2018 'Mardelle' light blue off-the-shoulder, with an gathered like bow detail. While Tika looked beautiful in red, I kinda wish the wore the light blue. The color would have looked equally amazing on her. Her look was topped off with a chic ponytail which you can see better HERE.

Sanaa Lathan worked the split on her HANEY SPRING 2019 black gown. Her 'Coco' gown featured a deep v-neck and belted waist, which was topped off with JIMMY CHOO sandals. I love that ponytail that her hairstylist Larry J Sims gave her to top off her sultry look.

Kate Beckinsale showed some skin, wearing a long sleeve black and nude, sheer illusion beaded dress from the JULIEN MACDONALD SPRING 2019 collection. Padded shoulders, a v-neckline, a cutout waist and a center front split were the details on Kate's sultry piece. Surprisingly Kate ditched her signature hairstyle for the first time that I can remember. She went with center part, off-the-shoulder light waves. The dress is right up Kate's style alley but I don't think it works for this awards show. Maybe the Grammy's and/or VMA What do you think of Kate's look?

Ebonee Davis was another celeb who worked the split on her dress. She opted for a BURNETTE PRE-FALL 2019 gown, which featured a white long sleeve beaded, v-neck top and a black draped, train detail skirt.

Uzo Aduba seemingly skipped the red carpet but her stylist did snap a pic of her look for instagram. She chose a ROSETTA GETTY FALL 2019 gold tie neck, shift gown, which was accessorized with IRENE NEWWITH earrings and a JUDITH LEIBER clutch.

Lena Waithe worked a masculine inspired look courtesy of GRAYSCALE. I really like her green printed blazer which she accessorized with a black turtleneck, black trousers and black AQUATALIA shoes.

Chrissy Metz re-wore a custom CHRISTIAN SIRIANO dress, which she wore on Glamour previously. However gold buttons was added to the neckline which made her dress interesting.

Kate Spade x InStyle Dinner

Yesterday evening(October 23rd) the Kate Spade and InStyle Dinner honoring Kate Spade’s new Creative Director, Nicola Glass, took place at Spring Place in Beverly Hills, Ca. All of the guest wearing KATE SPADE NEW YORK. 

Angela Sarafyan wore a SPRING 2019 lavender ruffle pleated dress and lavender boots. Her dress which was belted at the waist, was topped off with a metallic clutch.   

Skai Jackson was one of my favorites wearing a SPRING 2019 yellow printed, tie waist top and a center front button denim skirt. A simple but flawless beauty look, a silver metallic tassel clutch and ALDO metallic pumps and APM MONACO jewelry finished up her look. 

Sophia Bush wore a black & fuchsia printed dress and matching clutch from SPRING 2019. Her dress which was layered with a black turtleneck, was also teamed with burgundy leather boots.

2018 Billboard Music Awards Wrap-up

Taylor Swift who walked away a winner, worked the split on her pink & silver embellished ATELIER VERSACE dress which featured a v-neckline and a short sleeve on one-side. Kelly Clarkson who hosted the show, wore a CHRISTIAN SIRAINO black long sleeve custom gown with crystal embellished, cutout shoulders, an asymmetrical neckline, a split, a belted waist and train detail. I really like the detailed top, she looked great. 

Padman Lakshmi wore a THE BLONDS SPRING 2017 one-shoulder embellished metallic dress with a bustier top and a sultry waist high split. Center part straight tresses and metallic sandals finished up her look.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw wore a custom BOSS lime green sequined gown with an open slit and strapless bodice. Beauty wise, she kept it simple with minimal make-up and a up-do which topped off her look along with gold earrings & peep-toe pumps. 

Issa Rae wore custom red long sleeve VERA WANG floor sweeping dress with a one-shoulder & cold-shoulder detail, a tulle ruffle sleeves and a cascading asymmetrical ruffle panel in the back. While her look doesn't excite like it usually does. she still looked pretty.

Reese Witherspoon ditched wearing a scaled back for the evening wearing a STELLA MCCARTNEY blue satin tuxedo dress with a matching lace bra underneath. She dressed up her look with DAVID WEBB jewelry. Matching CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN velvet pumps, a red lip and center part straight tresses finished up her look.

HFPA 2017 Grants Banquet

Yesterday evening(August 2nd) the Hollywood Foreign Press Association(HFPA) 2017 annual Grants Banquet took place at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA.

Alison Brie worked a sexy look courtesy of THAI NGUYEN. She wore the designer's PRE-FALL 2017 'Sienna' black & gold sleeveless beaded fringe cocktail dress which she accessorized with an EVA FEHREN ring and JIMMY CHOO sandals. 

Aja Naomi King was a standout in the REFORMATION 'Rambla' sunflower yellow floor length halter dress with a ruffle bodice and a crisscross strap, cut-out back. She looked simply pretty and I love the color. Side parted waves and a red lip finished up her look. 

Jenny Slate wore an ETRO SPRING 2017 black & white monochrome ensemble which featured the Saffron stripe, wrap jacket with a contrasting white collar & cuff and the matching stripe 'Maglia Cedre' cape skirt with a fringe hem. Jenny ditched the black runway belt for a skinny white belt. Love the jacket but the skirt is not working on her and I am not feeling the hair either. I think she should have gone with a different bottom. ILEANE MAKRI earrings and the NICHOLAS KIRKWOOD 'Penelope' sandals finished up her look.

42nd Gracie Awards

Yesterday evening(June 6th) the 42nd Annual Gracie Awards took place at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Mandy Moore who also attended the CFDA'S, who the MAISON MAYLE PRE-SPRING 2017 'Valentine' black ruffle lace, satin panel floor length halter dress which she styled with a TYLER ELLIS clutch and CHARLOTTE OLYMPIA heels. While this is not a wow moment, it is a much improved look from her CFDA look. Also I am glad that she ditched the vampy lip for a standard lip color because it doesn't suit her.

Chrissy Metz sparkled in a custom HOUSE OF CYNDARELLA navy sequin v-neck dress with a slight, off-the-shoulder detail. Side parted tresses, a soft pink lip color and black suede pumps finished up her look.

Dove Cameron stood out in sheer red & pink three-quarter sleeve BORA AKSU SPRING 2017 ruffle lace dress which she teamed with a black belt choker and black sandals. For me, black colored accessories wouldn't have been my choice with this dress and also the hair should have been off-the-shoulder. However this dress looks great on her.

Jurnee Smollett-Bell served up major cleavage wearing a black long sleeve velvet floor length dress with a deep v-neckline and a padded shoulders. The overload of cleavage takes away from her look. 

Regina King looked great in a shimmery gold GENNY halter dress with a gold metal belt and a high split. Gold accessories and a high bun with bangs finished up her look. 

Serayah took on the lingerie trend wearing a red DOLCE & GABBANA lace panel slip gown. I feel like I have seen similar versions of the dress so much that this doesn't excite. Love her braided, make-up and earrings though.
