Kerry Washington, Priyanka Chopra, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Sahilene Woodley and Lily Aldridge wore RALPH LAUREN to the 2018 MET Gala, Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination on Sunday(May 7th) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Kerry Washington was one of many who wore gold to the gala. Her long sleeve gold sequin gown featured a sultry cutout back which kept it somewhat interesting. However it was Kerry's teethed natural Afro which was adorned with a LORRAINE SCHWARTZ brooch that I really love.
Priyanka Chopra was one of many who took on the theme and she looked beautiful in this rich burgundy velvet strapless cape gown which was accessorized with a embellished hand beaded hood headpiece. The ornate piece which was adorned with red Swarovski crystal & gold beading, apparently took 250 hours to make. No matter what it was a stunning piece on the perfect wearer.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wore a nude cape gown which featured over 300,000 crystals applied to chantilly lace which required 150 hours of sewing and 40 hours of hand-finishing. A beaded cross necklace would have been a nice addition here but she still looked beautiful.
Shailene Woodley's look was definitely unexpected to me because I don't think I have ever seen her in such an edgy look. Her metallic long sleeve mini dress featured a high neckline and contrasting white ruffle cuffs and was teamed with black thigh high boots. A ponytail with bangs and smokey eyes finished up her look.
Lily Aldridge payed homage to the theme by wearing a bold yellow hue. Her short sleeve, collared dress with a split detail, is a RL signature silhouette. She dressed up her look with emerald stone statement necklace.
