'Practical Magic 2' London Premiere

The ''Practical Magic 2'' cast the blue carpet this evening(August 26th) in London for the film's premiere which was held at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square.

Joey King wore a custom look by MIU MIU. Her sheer pale yellow silk-chiffon dress featured flower accents and it was deliberately layered with a bra and briefs underneath for coverage. Generally speaking, this suits her perfectly, but I am experiencing sheer fatigue. I wish that this was lined. 

Nicole Kidman wore a CHANEL dress and this sequin strapless dress which takes evening wear to an entirely new level of opulence. The high-wattage of shine and heavy metal edge proves that classic elegance can still feel incredibly rock-and-roll. The bare neckline highlights the design which allowed the dramatic chain draping to act as the ultimate statement accessory.

Xolo Mariduena wore a VIVIANO SPRING 2027 shorts suit with embroidered flower accents on the jacket. This ensemble pushes the boundaries of contemporary tailoring, blending a sharp, masculine silhouette with delicate, artisanal details. The double-breasted jacket serves as a canvas for intricately embroidered flowers, adding a poetic, vibrant contrast to the traditional menswear fabric. Paired with fluid, matching shorts, the look effortlessly challenges conventional gender codes in fashion, transforming a classic suit into a modern statement of romantic, avant-garde elegance.

Sandra Bullock returned to the carpet wearing a GIVENCHY FALL 2026 leopard strapless dress with a structured, draped detailed skirt. I have several issues with her look, the first being the print. I don't think the print works with the shape of the dress. The styling is not my favorite as well. The T-strap sandal wouldn't have been a choice for me. A sleek, black pump or colored mules would have been my options. Lastly, I feel like the head styling doesn't compliment the tone of the dress. Overall, this is a miss for me.

Maisie Williams paid homage to Sandra Bullock by wearing a custom ELLIE MISNER that was inspired by a 1999 look that she wore to the 'Forces of Nature' premiere. I love the color on her. It's the perfect shade of red, but I think that exquisite necklace deserved to be paired with a better look. I'm not sold on the quality and the fit is not good. Also, on this occasion, the coordinating eye make-up is too heavy. 

Solly McLeod stepped out in a PAUL SMITH suit which anchored on the timeless authority of a navy double-breasted suit. A crisp white shirt acted as the perfect canvas for a burgundy stripe tie, which introduced a rich pop of deep color and a classic, graphic element to the chest. It is a masterclass in sophisticated contrast, where the traditional codes of menswear are elevated into a razor-sharp statement of modern luxury.
