2019 BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party

Ahead of the Globes, the celebs stepped out today(January 5th) for the 2019 BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party at the Four Seasons Hotel in LA.

Rosamund Pike has been wearing GIVENCHY a lot lately so it is no surprise that she turned to the designer brand on this occasion. Her one-shoulder black & white ruffle panel dress was teamed with PIERRE HARDY black sandals.

Emily Blunt who also attended the AACTA's, once again delivered a winning look courtesy of OSCAR DE LA RENTA. Her long sleeve black & white dotted chiffon layered dress was styled perfectly with yellow ankle strap sandals.

Claire Foy wore a ALTUZARRA that was inspired by the designer's SPRING 2019 collection. To avoid a wash out, a pink lip color was added to her beauty look. I am sure that would be a great dress if it was in a different fabric.

Rachel Weisz wore a emerald PRADA midi dress, which featured a embellished neckline and a flutter sleeves. The embellished neckline is what keeps this dress somewhat interesting but I wished it was completely across her neck.

Patricia Clarkson who was also on hand for the Golden Brunch, looked lovely once again wearing a PAULE KA pale yellow, duchess satin tea length dress featuring an a-line silhouette, jeweled belt and side pocket which she utilized.

Isla Fisher served up some cleavage action wearing a GRETA CONSTANTINE RESORT 2019 long sleeve gold, sequin v-neck midi dress, with padded shoulders. The fit is the main issue here.

Amy Adams posed in a EMILIA WICKSTEAD PRE-FALL 2019 v-neck dress, which stopped just above her ankles. While her look doesn't excite, I like this dress and it suits her style.

Danai Gurira who was also at the Variety awards, wore a white, tan & black OSCAR DE LA RENTA SPRING 2019 woven midi dress.

Emma Stone who was also at the Palm Springs Film Festival, wore a FENDI SPRING 2019 printed, pleated tier dress. Emma's exact dress wasn't shown on the runway, but it is inspired by the runway version. I like this dress but it doesn't look flattering around the waist.

Laura Harrier like Claire Foy(see above), chose a dress from the ALTUZARRA SPRING 2019 collection. However Laura was my favorite here overall in playful, sultry ensemble.

Lily Collins wore the JOHANNA ORTIZ SPRING 2019 En Dias Como Hoy floral cotton sateen bustier top and the matching Entre Dos Aguas ruffle skirt. My only issue here is that I wish she kept the contrasting waist tie, as it added a matching needed balance between the top & the skirt.

Lupita Nyong'o is wearing a dress that actually has her name, the JONATHAN COHEN SPRING 2019 'Lupita' sleeveless colorful tulle dress. A white bag and colored suede pumps finished up her look.

Rachel Brosnahan wore a CHRISTIAN SIRIANO SPRING 2019 sleeveless yellow sheath dress, which was adorned with gold sequin flowers. Her bold hue dress was topped off with MALONE SOULIERS mules.

Regina King who was also at the Palm Springs Film Festival, wore a ZAC POSEN PRE-FALL 2019 strapless dark teal dress with gold sequin detailing. Her NICHOLAS KIRKWOOD black pumps would not be my shoe of choice here but the dress suits her.

Caitirona Balfe turned to her go to designer brand, DELPOZO. She looked lovely in a pink & white floral embroidered, organza midi dress, which she accessorized with a EDIE PARKER clutch and ROGER VIVIER pumps.

Gemma Chan worked the split on her PRABAL GURUNG SPRING 2019 'Shar' ruffle plaid, cut-out dress, which she accessorized with a navy clutch and sandals.

Kiki Layne is on my watch list because the 'If Beale Street Could Talk' continues to serve looks. She was flawlessly chic in this CHANEL SPRING 2019 printed panel dress.

Thandie Newton showed a little skin, wearing a AZZEDINE ALAIA SPRING 2019 two-tone dress, which featured a black leather, cut-out top and a nude pleated flare skirt.

Yalitza Aparicio who also attended the Palm Springs Film Festival, wore a MULBERRY SPRING 2019 ensemble which featured the Sophia Jacket’ in red ochre, the ‘Carla Shirt’ in yellow retro jacquard and the ‘Marianne Skirt’ in red ochre. Her retro inspired look was topped off with SCHUTZ sandals.
