25th Critics Choice Awards Wrap-up

The  25th Annual Critics Choice Awards took place on Sunday(January 12th) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA. To see all of the celeb looks, click HERE and continue below for the wrap-up.

Charlize Theron wore a sultry, custom CELINE sequin dress which she toughen up with a black blazer from the fashion house. She looks great but her look doesn't excite.

Ava DuVernay is one of those celebs who finds a signature silhouette and sticks with it and this custom MICHAEL CINCO gown proves that. Nonetheless, she is a beautiful woman.

Susan Kelechi Watson was a disappointment in this GALIA LAHAV gown. That sheer illusion neckline doesn't work on her. Also the back of her gown is fully sheer, revealing her nude underwear, and it is not a good look. This is a miss for me. MARLI jewelry, a coordinating clutch and a colored lip finished up her look.

Greta Gerwig suited up in a custom ALBERTA FERRETTI LIMITED EDITION COUTURE green velvet double-breasted tuxedo with black lapels and wide-leg matching trousers. Thankfully the brooches was added, otherwise this would have been a snooze. However for this to be custom, the pants should have been hemmed.

Anne Hathaway who is a new mom for the second time, sparkled in a custom ATELIER VERSACE hand embroidered, gold sequin gown with voluminous sleeves. MESSIKA jewelry, a JUDITH LEIBER clutch and ALEXANDRE BIRMAN sandals put the finishing touches on her look.

Kelly Clarkson wore a ALESSANDRA RICH black ruffle detail velvet dress which stopped at her ankle. This is actually not that bad but that skirt length isn't working on her, especially with those sandals.

Ryan Michelle Baithe wore a SERGIO HUDSON white voluminous sleeve, v-neck blouse and a black floor length skirt which was belted at the waist & featured contrasting green underlining. I actually prefer the look book version. NIEL LANE jewelry finshed up her look.

Laura Dern wore an EMILIA WICKSTEAD SPRING 2020 tangerine textured cloque which she accessorized with MESSIKA jewelry. The color maynot be the best on her but I like the piece in general.

Emily Hampshire turned to her signature designer J. MENDEL, wearing another gown from the designers RESORT 2020 collection. I think she should have gone softer on the eyes with that pink lip but she looked great. A TYLER ELLIS clutch topped off her look.

Kate Beckinsale is another celeb who stays in the same syyle zone and this JULIEN MACDONALD  x GABRIELA SPRING 2020 gown shows that. She needs to mix things up. KALLATI, DJULA & YVAN TUFENJIAN jewlry and off-the-shoulder tresses finished up her look.

Lucy Hale wore a MIU MIU mint embellished halter gown with a contrasting black bow waist sash. Love the color but not the bow waistband. However something was definitely needed to nip the waist. ANABELA CHAN earrings, DJULA & HARRY KOTLAR rings and a black clutch finished up her look.

Margaret Qualley also chose a MIU MIU dress, which featured a contrasting black bow, v-necklibe. That is one sad looking bow but overall, I am not feeling this look.

Thomasin McKenzie wore a custom LOUIS VUITTON PRE-FALL 2020 white gown which she accessorized with REPOSSI jewelry. This was a pretty look.

Rachel Brosnahan wore a custom CAROLINA HERRERA PRE-FALL 2020 orange embellished dress which was tied at the waist. The dress was shown in black in the look book but the orange stands out more. However I dislike the shape of the skirt on her.

Marin Hinkle wore a ROMONA KEVEZA FALL 2019 red off-the-shoulder gown which was accessorized with a TYLER ELLIS clutch. This doesn't excite but I like the sleek fit of the gown on her.

Lydia Hearst wore a VICTOR GLEMAUD RESORT 2019 pink and black panel gown. This color combo works so much better on her thank the look books. A black clutch and LE VIAN & COLETTE rings finished up her look.

Joey King was head to toe in PRADA and I thought she looked great. However I don't like the fabric of her dress.

Florence Pugh also wore a custom PRADA dress with beading that provided movement to her dress. The length is tricky but this not bad.

Sarah Levy wore the HANEY FALL 2019 'Alessia' garnet red center front split, sequin dress. I don't think the color of the clutch works but it could be the lighting. Overall, this okay for me.

AJ Michalika worked a simple but flirty ELISABETTA FRANCHI FALL 2019 long sleeve green sheer back gown with a contrasting white embroidered stripe detail and padded shoulders.

Chloe Bennet wore a YANINA SPRING 2019 COUTURE blush silk-chiffon gown, with voluminous gown. I like the idea of this gown but it looks so much better in motion.

Molly Sims wore a TERESA HELBIG FALL 2019 sheer black dotted gown which was lined for coverage. A black waistband was added to Molly's gown to nip the waist and it worked in her favor.

Megan Hilty wore a CHRISTIAN SIRIANO SPRING 2020 black beaded fringe dress with a side split. The model sells the dress so much better and it also looks great in motion. The shape isn't working on Megan.

Alison Brie was one of the few who went the safe route, wearing a BRANDON MAXWELL PRE-FALL 2020 orange column dress. The color is the star here.

Beanie Feldstein wore a custom LELA ROSE RESORT 2020 pink and red satin dress. Beanie's version of the dress works so much better for her but those creases are distracting. If this looks familiar, that's because Mishel Prada wore the exact look book version in November 2019.

Betty Gilpin wore a pink and orange ombre OSCAR DE LA RENTA SPRING 2020 gown which she accessorized with FRED LEIGHTON jewelry and JIMMY CHOO sandals. The color is not the best on her but she wears this gown better than the model.

Lulu Wang the director of 'Farewell' wore a CECILIE BAHNSEN SPRING 2020 lilac dress which would have worked if she didn't wear the black MARK CROSS and boots.
