Celebs in Louis Vuitton at the 97th Oscars

Ana de Armas, Cynthia Erivo, Emma Stone, Ava DuVernay, Stacy Martin and Vic Carmen Sonne wore LOUIS VUITTON on Sunday(March 2nd) at the 97th Oscars which was held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.

Ana de Armas wore a LOUIS VUITTON black mermaid gown with a silver embellished, halter neckline. It may not be a wow moment, but it was fitting for the occasion.

Cynthia Erivo served us with a dramatic moment courtesy of LOUIS VUITTON. The velvet gown was done in a green hue which was clearly her last homage to 'Wicked.' She looked amazing.

Angelina Jolie & Ave DuVernay at the 40th Santa Barbara International Film Festival

On Wednesday(February 5th) Angelina Jolie and Ava DuVernay hit the carpet for the 40th annual Santa Barbara International Film Festival at The Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara, California. The were on hand for the Matlin Modern Master Award which honored Angelina.

Angelina Jolie wore a BRUNELLO CUCINELLI ivory floor length dress with side pockets which she utilized. She toughen up her look a coordinating blazer which at one point she removed. The dress looks so much better with the blazer, but overall I don't find this to be an exciting look. A colored lip and/or some jewelry could have helped. Also, the hem doesn't look great. 

Ava DuVernay on the other hand looked beautiful wearing this custom coat dress by CONG TRI. If I had to nitpick, I wish the sleeves came down to her wrist. Nonetheless, this still was a winning look.

49th AFI Life Achievement Award Honoring Nicole Kidman

On Saturday(April 27th) the 49th AFI Life Achievement Award Tribute to Nicole Kidman was held at The Dolby Theater in LA with Nicole Kidman and more in attendance.

Nicole Kidman made a sparkling entrance, wearing a BALENCIAGA gold sequin gown which was accessorized with an OMEGA watch and ROBERTO COIN rings. The night was all about her, and she definitely chose a gown that speaks to that. She looked gorgeous. 

Naomi Watts wore a GIVENCHY dress with ANITA KO jewelry, a white chain strap bag and white ankle strap sandals. I'm not crazy about the asymmetrical hemline but this is still a great look.

Yesterday evening(November 30th) Ava DuVernay,Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor and Nicey Nash-Betts hit the red carpet in New York for the premiere ''Origin'' which was held at Alice Tully Hall.

Ava DuVernay looked beautiful in a sequin DOLCE & GABBANA dress but I am ready for a fresh, unexpected look from her. 

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor has too much going on with her look. I like the idea of the color-story but the overall execution of her look doesn't work for me. 

Niece Nash worked her frame in a white beaded, padded cap sleeve dress by DOLCE & GABBANA. I don't like the bra cups but she looked b beautiful

Ava DuVernay hit the carpet today(September 6th) in Venice, Italy for the photocall and premiere of ''Origin'' during the 80th Venice International Film Festival.

Look 1:

For the photocall, she kept it simple but sophisticated wearing head to toe LOUIS VUITTON. This was a really great look for the occasion and her beauty look was flawless. 

Look 2: 

For the premiere, she changed into a PRADA off-the-shoulder dress with elbow length sleeves. The fit of the top looks slightly off and whatever that angular crease is below the waist, it's unfortunate and distracting. Quibbles aside, she looked gorgeous and her beauty look was flawless as always.

On Saturday(November 12th) Ava DuVernay posed beautifully on the carpet at the 2022 Portrait Of A Nation Gala in Washington, DC.

On tune with the carpet, she wore the MARKARIAN RESORT 2020 ''Elizabeth'' ombre sequin gown and she carried the FALL 2022 ''Hart'' crystal box clutch. The gold mirrored belt nipped the waist and provided balance.  

Love the color story that I am seeing here and even though I am not a fan of that square inspired neckline, she still looked divine. Also her beauty look was flawless.

Wearing different LOUIS VUITTON custom pieces, Cynthia Erivo, Caitriona Balfe, Renate Reinsve and Ava DuVernay hit the red carpet at the  94th Annual Academy Awards at the Hollywood and Highland Center in Hollywood yesterday evening(March 27th). 

Cynthia Erivo looked simply gorgeous in a black zipper detail blazer with a floor length skirt that had a short train in the back. 

Caitriona Balfe wore a white floor length dress with a cascading ruffle panel on the waist, that flowed into a train in the back. I am not 100% sold on the ruffle detail but if anyone can pull it off, it's her. The details straps and jewelry was definitely needed to enhance her look.

On Saturday(November 6th) the 2021 LACMA Art+Film Gala which was presented by Gucci, took place at the LACMA in LA. Most of the guests were wearing GUCCI unless otherwise stated. 

Elle Fanning was easily one of my top favorites in this sheer black, silk-chiffon gown. The flower detail on the neckline and the lip color is what added edge to her sexy look. 

Jodie Turner-Smith wore a pink and silver crystal beaded dress with padded shoulders and cutout feather sleeves. I wish the shoulders pads and the corset underlining were the same color as the dress. Also the makeup is not good.

Yara Shahidi who was an honoree, wore the SCHIAPARELLI FALL 2019 COUTURE 'State of Undress' skirt in floral-printed silk faille with inverse-printed details, paired with a crystal knit sports bra. While the top wasn't lined on the runway, Yara's top was partially lined for coverage. In general she definitely looks great and her beauty was flawless but I think the skirt is more suited for someone taller.

Yara Shahidi was indeed beautiful in this yellow ruffle pleated dress. I don't think she needed the earrings but it doesn't hurt her look and her beauty look is flawless. 

Kiki Layne has been on point since day one of her debut on the red carpet last year. Her beauty look was flawless and she definitely pulled off this all-over sequin embroidered gown which was accessorized with jewelry from the fashion house as well. 

Regina King didn't disappoint either, she looked beautiful in a color-block sequin panel dress, which was topped off with a flawless beauty look.

Ava DuVernay was the director behind Netflix's 'When They See Us' and on Sunday(August 11th) she attended the FYC Event at Paramount Theater in Hollywood, California.

From pink, orange to blues, Ava has never been one to shy away from color on the carpet and I am always here for it. She looked beautiful as always wearing a HYKE FALL 2019 green, handkerchief hem dress. 

The hemline is tricky but it works on Ava. Also Ava ditched the runway's belt for a matching belt which worked in her favor but she should have wore gold necklace for balance. Although her silhouettes tend to stay in the same realm, the impact of the color always makes her standout. 

A flawless beauty look and gold STELLA LUNA ankle strap pumps rounded out her look. Where you drawn into Ava's colored look as well?
