Renee Zellweger, Cynthia Erivo, Jennifer Lopez and more attended the 31st Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards Gala at the Palm Springs Convention Center yesterday evening(January 2nd) in Palm Springs, California.
Charlize Theron turned to her go to designer brand, wearing a CHRISTIAN DIOR PRE-FALL 2020 nude & black strapless herringbone, belted peplum top which was layered with a fishnet top underneath and the matching pencil skirt. The fishnet top made it a bit more interesting, even though it feels unfinished but I still can't say that I am loving this, especially with those sandals.
Salma Hayek wore a GUCCI RESORT 2020 black silk Georgette plissé dress with a tiered gathered front. Instead of wearing the brooch detail on the skirt, she opted for a glittery bow on the neck. If this feels familiar, that's because Margaret Qualley wore it in a floor length, gown. I wish that her hair was off-the-shoulders and I wish that she kept the brooch on the skirt.
Laura Dern wore a romantic ruffle floral dress from the ERDEM SPRING 2020 collection. Ugh, her hair is always a let down. A side parted up-do would have worked so much better. Also I kinda wish a belt was added to nip the waist.
Greta Gerwig also wore GUCCI but her piece is a custom version from the SPRING 2020 collection. However I am not feeling this purple beaded velvet dress. It's definitely something in her style alley but it feels like one of those choir robes.
Lena Waithe kept it simple in a black double breasted suit with a white & black shirt underneath and black shiny dress shoes. It doesn't excite but it served it's purpose.
