The 63rd Grammy awards took place last night at the Los Angeles Convention Center in LA and the show was slightly different due to the pandemic. Only performers, presenters and nominees were in attendance and naturally everyone was socially distanced while sitting. Also the red carpet was limited, so check out a few looks from the occasion.
Beyonce who sneaked in mid-show, made history becoming the first female to have won the most Grammy awards ever. She wore a custom SCHIAPARELLI COUTURE black gathered minidress, gloves with trompe l’œil gold fingernails and a pair of drop earrings in gilded brass and enamel made up of a cascade of surrealist elements from the SPRING 2021 COUTURE collection. She also accessorized with sheer black tights with JIMMY CHOO sandals. The statement earrings & the black panther inspired gloves is what keeps her look interesting. However the fit around the bust looks off. It doesn't excite for me but this isn't a bad look though, it's still sexy & edgy and perfect for the occasion.
Big Sean looked sharp as can be in a ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA XXX black silk and wool pattered, single button, shawl lapel tuxedo with satin details, tuxedo shirt, satin bowtie and cashmere blanket scarf with a fringe finish.
Lizzo was on hand as a presenter and she hit the red carpet wearing a custom BALMAIN PRE-FALL 2021 mint strapless, ruched & ruffle hem dress. Her dress was accessorized with BULGARI jewelry and STUART WEITZMAN sandals. When she was posing from the side, the fit on the bust was bugging me. Also I love the color but in general, this dress reminds me of an 80's/90's style prom dress that you will find at a department store. She's beautiful and this is cute & fun but not her best. Her face/makeup was flawless and celebrity facialist Ivan Pol prepped her skin for the big event. He said "I performed the Tour de Force treatment on Lizzo, and I mixed The Face Oil into my ultrasound gel and applied it to her skin pre-treatment to infuse and penetrate the nutrients at a deeper level. Chrissy Teigen celebrated at home with hubby John Legend who was nominated and won. She toughen up her sexy AADNEVIK FALL 2020 dress with a black blazer. I kinda wish her hair was pulled behind-the-ear but she looks great in this dress. A red lip, silver jewelry, the TYLER ELLIS ''Perry'' clutch and black sandals rounded out her look.
Priya Darshini wore a OLIVIER THEYSKENS SPRING 2021 white silk, floor length dress with a short train in the back and a contrasting black feather v-neckline. The neckline is what makes this dress interesting, without, this would be a snooze or bridal like. This is different and she is selling for the occasion. HAIM hit the red carpet wearing custom PRADA SPRING 2021 looks and while I do like the color, the silk-faille fabric is not the best. Celebrity facialist Ivan Pol also prepped this faces ahead of their appearance. "The focus on the HAIM girls was all about skin since their makeup look was going to be very minimal," explains Pol. Cleansing is the first step in skin care and the girls loved The Cleansing Balm and how calming it was. It's a luxurious experience. I really love massaging this into the skin. I followed with The Face Oil, warmed it up in my hands and pressed it into the forehead, cheeks, jawline and neck. Then, I used The Lip Balm before treating them to the Signature Sandwich treatment. Post treatment, I finished off their skin prep with an additional drop of The Face Oil mixed with 2 pumps of The Rich Cream."
