23rd Costume Designers Guild Awards Wrap-up

Following her attendance at the DGA awards, Regina King along with Nicola Coughlan, Ilana Glazer and more attended the virtual 23rd Costume Designers Guild Awards yesterday(April 13th).

Regina King had the best look hands down and this will most likely be a best dressed of the year contender. She wowed in a CHRISTOPHER JOHN ROGERS SPRING 2021 Habanero orange, strapless utility twill column dress with a pleated train which is available at NET-A-PORTER. The color looks fantastic against her melanin skin and can we talk about the fit, pure perfection. A flawless beauty look, BULGARI jewelry and STUART WEITZMAN sandals put the finishing touches on her look. Photo posted by her stylists Wayman + Micah & captured by James Anthony. Amanda Seyfried looked chic wearing a GIAMBATTISTA VALLI FALL 2021 white tweed dress with a contrasting black bow necklace. At first glance I thought this was Chanel but either way, it's a chic look. She finished up her look with the same ROGER VIVIER pumps from her previous look and a pearl headband. Photo posted by her stylist Elizabeth Stewart & hair stylist Renato Campora

Lana Condor hosted the virtual show in two different looks. This first is this PRABAL GURUNG FALL 2020 color-block jumpsuit. So there is a lot going on here with the feather detail top and the sculptural peplum detail. The sculptural detail is not working for me but one of the problems here is that this outfit is wearing her, not the other way around. Lana has a high waist & short torso, so I also feel like this needed someone with height. Having said that, I like it for the color combo & the weird design. Her beauty look was flawless which topped off her look along with VRAI & KARMA EL KHALIL jewelry and STUART WEITZMAN shoes. Photo by her stylist Tara Swennen

Lana Condor then slipped into her second look, a CHRISTIAN SIRIANO FALL 2021 black sheer, layered lace dress which was accessorized with RAVEN jewelry and STUART WEITZMAN pumps. Lana looked gorgeous no doubt but I do wish this dress was lined or either longer or shorter to make her body look longer because of her short torso & high waist. She is just beautiful all around though. Photo by her stylist Tara Swennen
