Following her attendance at the opening ceremony, Helen Mirren hit the red carpet this evening(July 7th) at the 74th Cannes Film Festival premiere of ''The Velvet Underground''.
Helen tends to hit us with color but on this occasion, she scaled back, wearing a white tiered, taffeta shirt dress from the CH by CAROLINA HERRERA collection. For balance, her dress was belted at the waist.
For me, it doesn't feel like a Cannes red carpet look at all. But I do think the accessories played a big part in the outcome of her look. A gold belt and pumps would have coordinated better with her shoulder bag and added some attitude to her look.
Also I would undo a button or two at the top, and add a statement gold necklace to put the finishing touches on this look. It's not a bad look but it doesn't have the same impact as most of her looks. What do you think of Helen's look for this occasion?
