Renee Elise Goldsberry looked beautiful wearing a CAROLINA HERRERA PRE-FALL 2022 mermaid gown that fit her perfectly.
Lala rocked a sexy, custom LAQUAN SMITH SPRING 2022 which was accessorized with DAVID YURMAN jewelry. I feel like the top part is a bit over-designed and that she needed an ankle or strappy sandal here.
Bee Carrozzini's style is a bit predictable for the gala because she almost always wears ALEXANDER MCQUEEN and this time was no different. She looked beautiful nonetheless.
Kaia Gerber wore ALEXANDER MCQUEEN as well she was a gilded beauty in this gold beaded, cutout dress.
Caroline Wozniacki wore a dramatic, cutout CHRISTIAN SIRIANO FALL 2022 gown. I feel like she doesn't have the edge to sell a piece like this and the hairstyle is all wrong.
Normani rocked her CHRISTIAN SIRIANO custom look and hat. She was a sexy, gilded beauty.
Tommy Dorfman wore a CHRISTOPHER KANE FALL 2022 latex cape gown and it would have worked if the fit was better.
Camila Mendes looked pretty in a AMI PARIS gold beaded fringe & cutout dress. It doesn't excite though but it's nice.
Janelle Monae is always going to slay and she did just that wearing this RALPH LAUREN crystal embellished, hooded gown. However it's giving deja vu but in a good way.
Alicia Keys payed homed to her hometown wearing a custom RALPH LAUREN cape and dress. Love the NYC inspired cape.
Joan Smalls served us in a TOM FORD FALL 2020 black cutout dress. I just feel like she needed diamond bracelets with those opera gloves.
Julianne Moore also wore TOM FORD and she looked elegant in a strapless dress with opera gloves. It touches on the theme with a bridal tone but jewelry would have enhanced it.
Lizzo brought her flute and she slayed the night in a custom THOM BROWNE gown and cape. This was perfection from head to toe.
Travis Barker, Kourtney Kardashian and Maisie Williams also wore custom THOM BROWNE looks and I think Travis looked the best here.
Glenn Close looked amazing wearing a VALENTINO FALL 2022 fuchsia masculine inspired creation and that cape is fab. But those earrings are not working on her.
Sebastian Stan also wore a VALENTINO FALL 2022 fuchsia ensemble and he looked like he was still in character as Tommy Lee. I feel like the results would be different on someone with a bit more edge.
Kid Cudi rocked a custom KENZO ensemble that was inspired by the 1984 FW collection. Love the floral panel inside the cape and the looked great on him.
Lenny Kravitz was on hand as a performer and he rocked a custom CHROME HEARTS look with MODERN VICE boots.
Evan Mock and Danai Gurira rocked custom creations by HEAD OF STATE and they both hit the theme. Love the cobalt blue on Danai.
Sarah Jessica Parker returned to the gala after missing a couple of them and she of course understood the assignment wearing a custom CHRISTOPHER JOHN ROGERS look. She always gets the theme right which is why she always the top best at the gala.
Laura Harrier looked amazing wearing a custom H&M gown and she perfectly nailed the theme.
Paloma Elesser wore a custom COACH gown and she nailed the theme as well.
Chloe Bailey wore a modern inspired, gilded dress from the AREA SPRING 2022 collection. I just wish that she wore a simpler sandal.
Dove Cameron and
Winne Harlow wore custom IRIS VAN HERPEN COUTURE they picked the right designer to take on the theme.
Teyana Taylor wore IRIS VAN HERPEN as well and her piece came from the FALL 2021 COUTURE collection. She perfectly pulled off the theme. I love the color and the face/head piece.
Kodi Smit McPhee added red leather opera gloves to his BOTTEGA VENETA FALL 2022 ensemble to touch on the gala's theme. Although he is reminding me of Dexter with those gloves.
Amber Valletta understood the assignment because she hit the theme beautifully wearing AZZARO COUTURE.
Hailey Bieber gave us simple, gilded glam in SAINT LAURENT but her look overall is boring.
Isabelle Boemeke wore an edgy, gilded piece from the NOIR KEI NINOMIYA SPRING 2022 collection. This is edgy with a little drama, love it.
Kylie Jenner was going for the same look that
Nicki Minaj did, wearing a OFF-WHITE FALL 2022 ensemble. It was a sporty, gilded and bridal mix that hit the theme. However I am not sold on the execution, she doesn't have the edge to sell this look.
Rachel Smith showed off her décolletage in a MONIQUE LHUILLIER FALL 2020 black & white floral embroidered gown which was belted at the waist.
Molly Sims wore a custom MONIQUE LHUILLIER gown and she was on theme for the occasion.
Miranda Kerr gave us a pretty princess more thanks to OSCAR DE LA RENTA but I feel like she needed opera gloves to truly hit the theme.
Katy Perry also wore a custom OSCAR DE LA RENTA gown that touched on the theme but that white piece underneath is not working for me. This would have been better fully lined. It's definitely toned down from her usually dramatic looks at the gala.
Nicola Coughlan served gilded glamour courtesy of RICHARD QUINN. I love the pink & black combination and the feathers added a playful vibe.
Daisy Edgar Jones shined in a crystal beaded & fringe OSCAR DE LA RENTA dress. This flapper style dress feels more 1920's than gilded but she looked great.
Kim Kardashian wore a BOB MACKIE piece that was first worn by Marilyn Monroe when she famously sang happy birthday to President Kennedy. I just don't think it gave what it was supposed to.
Erykah Badu rocked a fussy, custom MARNI look but she was on point.
Rachel Brosnahan made a shiny entrance, wearing a custom ALTUZARRA FALL 2022 gold pailliettes gown. Her golden look was on theme.
SZA came through in a VIVIENNE WESTWOOD creation that was Pirates of the Caribbean meets Bridgerton. That top is poorly fitted though.
Kerry Washington was beautiful in a custom TORY BURCH piece and this is the sexiest that I have ever seen her. Come on Mrs. Kerry!
Sydney Sweeney also wore a custom Tory Burch dress but I am not feeling the shape on her.
Gwen Stefani could not be missed wearing this custom VERA WANG neon green look. This is not totally on theme and I dislike the quality of that top. Love the color and the skirt though.
Karlie Kloss wore a custom GIVENCHY COUTURE dress and she looked like a romantic, gilded, goth beauty.
Rosalia also wore GIVENCHY COUTURE gown which was on theme, I am not loving it though.
Phoebe Bridges wore a custom JONATHAN SIMKHAI beaded, halter dress and all she needed were opera gloves to make this work.
Cara Delevingne suit up in CHRISTIAN DIOR SPRING 2019 COUTURE and she always gets it. I love this.
Claire Danes in LANVIN FALL 2022 gown and although I am not sold on the color, her look was on theme.
