2022 Time 100 Gala

The 2022 TIME100 Gala took place this evening(June 8th) in New York City and the honorees and more made their way onto the red carpet for the annual event.

Zendaya looked beautiful as always and one thing that I love about her stylist Law Roach, is his good eye for not only styling but pulling amazing vintage pieces. He dipped into the BOB MACKIE archives for this fabulous color-block gown from the designers FALL 1998 collection. Effortless slay as always.

Ariana DeBose sparkled beautifully in a OSCAR DE LA RENTA floral sequin dress with a slit which she utilized. Her look was completed with JACOB & CO jewelry, JIMMY CHOO sandals and a flawless beauty look.

Dwyane Wade suited up in FEAR OF GOD and he looked great.

Andrew Garfield rocked a tuxedo by GUCCI and although I am not a fan of the vest, he looked good as well.

Mary J. Blige wore a GAURAV GUPTA custom piece and although the color looks great on her, this is the most unflattering piece. Neck up, flawless.

Quinta Brunson looked pretty in this purple pleated, one long sleeve dress by DOLCE & GABBANA. However, it's too tight on the bust but it's a gorgeous color on her.

Jazmine Sullivan
utilized the asymmetrical split on her HANIFA dress which we saw first on Quinta Brunson in March 2022. I wasn't a fan of the draping on Quinta and I still don't like it on Jazmine either because it comes off as unflattering.

Taika Waititi wore a ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA tuxedo and I am actually glad that he chose white. It's not as classic as black but it stands out.

Simu Liu served us with an eye-catching color, wearing a VERSACE in cobalt blue.

Amanda Seyfried
wore a CAROLINA HERRERA PRE-FALL 2022 high-low hem gown with ALMASIKA jewelry. I don't like the design of the bust but she looked petty in general.

Michelle Zauner
wore a RODARTE SPRING 2022 cutout dress and as over-designed as it is, she wore it well but I am not feeling the makeup.

Miranda Lambert wore a custom CHRISTIAN SIRIANO PRE-FALL 2022 dress. I am not 100% sold on the look of the leather panel but I do prefer the look book's color way. Perhaps she should have gone with that and had it made in a longer version. She doesn't look bad though but I would swap out the clutch for a smaller style.
