''Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever'' LA Premiere

The ''Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever'' premiere took place yesterday evening(October 6th) at the Dolby Theatre in LA.

Rihanna made her return to the carpet since giving birth to her first child & she is singing the lead song off of the soundtrack. She chose a structured sequin dress from the RICK OWENS SPRING 2023 collection with GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI sandals. I think the dress works perfectly for her, it's those gloves that doesn't belong. 

Michael B. Jordan could not be missed wearing a vibrant yellow LOUIS VUITTON SPRING 2023 coat & matching pants. There was a lot of jokes about his look online but I kinda like it. I just wish the jacket was worn as presented on the runway.

Lupita Nyong'o chose a look from the BALMAIN SPRING 2023 collection. On the runway, her look was shown in a toffee brown hue which she could have pulled off. But the custom white version was a better choice for the red carpet. On some, the rope cutouts could have come off as tacky but Lupita made it look classy.

Angela Bassett wore a custom MOSCHINO purple pleated gown with REZA & GISMONDI 1754 jewelry. The color looked spectacular on her but the problem here are those boob pleated tiers which are unflattering.

Halle & Chloe Bailey posed together wearing all black looks. Halle chose MATICEVSKI strapless gown & Chloe severed up some leg in a double split, sequin dress with GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI sandals. 

Danai Gurira chose purple pleated dress as well but her piece came from the ROBERT WUN SPRING 2023 collection. If this looks familiar, that's because Janelle Monae wore it in a different colorway last week. I don't like the coordinating ROGER VIVIER velvet pumps. I feel like an ankle stripe sandal would have worked better. I prefer how Janelle wore it with the train in the back versus the side. With the exaggerated top, it doesn't work with the asymmetrical skirt.

Marsai Martin wore cute AZZI & OSTA off-the-shoulder, cutout mini dress. The problem here is the styling. She needed some sparkly jewelry & sandals to take this to the next level.

Lake Bell wore a ALEBERTA FERRETTI FALL 2021 black embellished fringe & feather ensemble. It's definitely a fun look but I don't feel like it suits Lake. 

Michaela Coel wore a custom SALVATORE FERRAGAMO SPRING 2023 crystal beaded, hooded gown. I'm not sold on the bag but she looked so beautiful.

Letitia Wright appears to pay homage to the late legend Chadwick Boseman by wearing a ALEXANDER MCQUEEN SPRING 2023 menswear suit. This was perfect from head to toe.

Tessa Thompson wore the ANNA QUAN ''Delfina'' white strapless, column dress with side pockets which she utilized. Add a statement necklace, earrings or cuffs and this would have taken her look to the next level. 

Quinta Brunson wore a BIBHU MOHAPATRA FALL 2022 navy velvet & gold pleated dress. This dress looks too overwhelming on her. I don't think it was a great choice for her. 

Sheryl Lee Ralph wore a PANTORA ensemble and the color looked amazing on her. However, I think she should have kept the top from the look book.
