2022 American Music Awards

The 2022 American Music Awards took place yesterday evening(November 20th) in LA at the Microsoft Theater with Wayne Brady on hand as the host. 

Kelly Rowland was perhaps my favorite of the night and this is definitely one of her best looks. She looked fantastic wearing a NICOLAS JEBRAN COUTURE gown with latex opera gloves. The only thing that I would change here are the pumps. A simple ankle strap sandal would have been a better shoe choice. 

Carrie Underwood looked pretty wearing a TONY WARD SPRING 2023 pink beaded cold-shoulder dress. However, I still feel like she's never given us a memorable fashion moment. 

Machine Gun Kelly wore a DOLCE & GABBANA purple spiked and I hoped that he changed once inside because there is no way that he could have sat down in this. 

Charlie Puth wore a yellow MARNI suit. This had potential if it was styled and hemmed better.

Anitta wore a custom MUGLER two-tone, sheer panel gown with TIFFANY & CO jewelry. It was the back of her dress that commanded attention because of the sheer panel on her butt. 

Pink went the vintage route, wearing a BOB MACKIE two-tone sequin, fringe mini dress that was first worn by Cher.  It's hard to re-wear something that was worn by Cher but it's not a bad look on her though. I'm not feeling the GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI platform sandals with it though. 

Elie Goulding wore a PHILOSOPHY DI LORENZO SERAFINI SPRING 2023 light blue, crystal embellished top and skirt. The top is complicated and I wish that we couldn't see her underwear. 

Karrueche Tran wore a CHRISTIAN SIRIANO PRE-FALL 2022 black strapless gown. The pointy, structured panels look like horns are coming out of her. She doesn't look bad though. 

Kim Petras wore a BLUMARINE SPRING 2023 strapless denim dress which was belted at the waist. This is so unflattering on her.  

Muni Long wore a JUANA MARTIN FALL 2022 COUTURE black mini dress with pleated, voluminous sleeves. I dislike that high neck on her and I would swap out the black pumps for ankle strap or strappy sandals. 

Tinashe posed in a MARC JACOBS FALL 2022 and I think it worked for the occasion but the corset top is too tight on the bust. 

Dove Cameron also wore a look from the MARC JACOBS FALL 2022 collection that featured the same top as Tinashe(see above). There is just too much going on with the bottom half of this look. 

Coco Jones wore a ANNAKIKI SPRING 2022 cutout, structured dress. Between the print and the design of the skirt, there is too much going on here. It's a crazy fashion look but she is having fun with it. 

Flo Mili wore a NENSI DOJAKA FALL 2022 suit and I think this had potential to be a great look but it's not. I think that she should have kept the runway's bralette and the pants are too tight on her. 

Joan Smalls wore a LAQUAN SMITH look and it worked for the model. 

Sabrina Carpenter wore custom OSCAR DE LA RENTA and I'm not sold on this for her. 

Kali Uchis & Latto wore custom looks by DILARA and I don't think that I am sold on either looks. 

Lauren Jauregui wore a NORMA KAMALI RESORT 2023 printed gown with the matching coat. This is not easy on the eyes. 

Roselyn Sanchez wore a FALGUNI SHANE PEACOCK FALL 2022 COUTURE  sequin embellished, cutout gown. My only quibble are the padded shoulders. 

Becky G looked gorgeous wearing a custom MONSOORI gown. 

Bebe Rexha wore BUERLANGMA and this dress is wearing her more than she is wearing it. 

Meghan Trainor wore a custom MICHAEL COSTELLO suit and the bubble gum pink works for her.
