2022 LACMA Art+Film Gala

On Saturday(November 5th) the 2022 LACMA Art+Film Gala took place at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Most of the guests were wearing GUCCI, who is one of the sponsors of the annual gala unless otherwise stated.

Jodie Turner-Smith rocked a playful, black velvet and gold sequin & fringe dress. The neckline is my only compliant here, other than that, she looked beautiful.

Salam Hayek wore a ombre embellished and lace panel gown. There is a little too much cleavage on the display but I still thought she looked great here.

Idris Elba was head to toe in the fashion house and although something feels off here, he is just a good looking man.

Henry Golding stood out because his tuxedo jacket is white but he was sharp overall.

Sabrina Elba wore a RESORT 2023 beaded cape with a black gown. Those green earrings elevated her look. She was beautiful.

Andrew Garfield rocked a printed suit, styled with a yellow button down shirt that made his look standout. I liked this.

Jared Leto opted not to wear a shirt with his magenta, crystal embellished suit. I feel like he should have left those gloves out but somehow it feels right for him.

Julia Garner wore a two-tone dress which I am not a fan of the design. However, it worked with her edgy beauty look and gloves.

Olivia Wilde wore a silver & purple sequin embellished, slip dress. I like the extra pop of color but those morgue gloves should have stayed on the rack.

Thuso Mbedu wore a light blue lace and green metallic gown. The problem here is that the top is over-designed but the head styling is on point.

Carey Mulligan wore a silver and black fringe jacket with the matching dress. The problem here is that this is wearing here and not the other way around. I think it's on the wrong wearer and the shoes are a snooze.

Quinta Brunson looked beautiful wearing a custom RANI ZAKHEM strapless gown which was nipped at the waist and accessorized with sheer black opera gloves and statement rings.

Billie Eilish posed with boyfriend Jesse Rutherford and as you can see, they were literally ready for bed. The arrived wrapped in a throw blanket which was removed. This is perfect for going to sleep but not my go to red carpet look. They happy though which is what matters.

Lindsey Vonn rocked a FALL 2022 shimmery multi-striped suit. I just wish that she didn't wear such heavy sandals but she still looked great.

Janelle Monae might have worn an over-designed dress but she looked beautiful and wore it very well. I just don't like the cutouts but she still manages to pull it off while amazing.

Sofia Boutella debut a killer shaved haircut, wearing a SAINT LAURENT sheer layered dress and she looked good.

Laura Harrier also wore SAINT LAURENT and she looked beautiful in this hooded, SPRING 2023 backless dress.

Rose from BlackPink also wore SAINT LAURENT SPRING 2023 but I feel like the hood detail doesn't work for her dress because of the bodice design.

Sandra Oh utilized the pockets on her GIAMBATTISTA VALLI SPRING 2022 COUTURE black floral & feather gown. She looked great here.

Sydney Sweeney also wore GIAMBATTISTA VALLI but her look came from the FALL 2022 COUTURE collection. I think that she should have ditched the shoes and even though her altered neckline was the right direction for her, it's not working. I dislike the sheer panel and it looks too tight on the bust.

Kim Kardashian gave us her usually style, wearing a BALENCIAGA FALL 2022 COUTURE black leather, fitted dress.

Kendall Jenner wore an interesting dress from the BURC AKYOL collection. I think the bottom half is fine, it's the top half of the dress that's not working for me.

Alessandra Ambrosio wore head to toe JEAN PAUL GAULTIER FALL 2022 COUTURE. Love the suit but I dislike those space boots.

Heidi Klum came sparkling in a RODARTE FALL 2021 sequin halter dress which was belted at the waist. The red plays off of the purple nicely.

Isabeli Fontana wore the same MICHAEL KORS COLLECTION FALL 2022 dress that we first saw on Selena Gomez. Only difference, is the fabric and the shoulder strap but it's clearly still the same.

Kathryn Hahn wore a AZ FACTORY SPRING 2023 ensemble and I just don't think she is edgy enough to rock gloves like this. The model perfectly sold the look, baggy and all but it's not working on Kathryn.
