76th Cannes Film Festival ''Jeanne du Barry'' Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Today(May 16th) the 76th Cannes Film Festival kicked off in France with celebs hitting the red carpet for the ''Jeanne du Barry'' premiere and the opening ceremony.

Elle Fanning looked stunning in a custom ALEXANDER MCQUEEN FALL 2023 strapless gown. Whenever she hits this Cannes carpet, she never disappoints. Although, I wish the top & the skirt were the same, this is still a win. CARTIER jewelry finished up her look.

Brie Larson wore a CHANEL RESORT 2023 layered dress that is hot off the runway. Brie looked pretty but the dress feels a bit matronly. I almost wish the layered embellished piece was translated into a full length, column dress for her.

Naomi Campbell is always going to give us a serve and she did just that in this CELINE sequin gown. Simple but yet elegant.

Helen  Mirren stood out beautifully in a custom DEL CORE light blue gown. However, I am totally sold on the hair and the silver sandals are bit too heavy. Quibbles aside, this still was a win.

Alessandra Ambrosio wore a sparkling ELIE SAAB FALL 2005 COUTURE sequin hooded gown. She looked great but it doesn't feel fresh and the necklace wasn't needed.

Araya Hargate served us some drama as always wearing one of her go to designer labels, JEAN PAUL GAULTIER. Her SPRING 2022 COUTURE gown was dressed up with a BULGARI necklace. My only quibble is the color.

Carys Zeta-Douglas was on hand to support her father Michael Douglas and she wore a ELIE SAAB SPRING 2023 white see-through dress. She looked lovely but I feel a colored lip was needed.

Catherine Deneuve wore a navy cold-shoulder LOUIS VUITTON embellished dress. I feel like she needed an open-toe heel but it's Catherine, she looked great.

Coco Jones was beautiful in a gold VALDRIN SAHITI draped, strapless dress.

Catherine Zeta-Jones looked gorgeous wearing a ELIE SAAB SPRING 2023 COUTURE ombre cape gown. Red is definitely a color she should wear move of.

Cindy Bruna wore a ACT NO. 1 FALL 2023 grey suit. I am not a fan of the black draped panel because it looks like something is coming out of her. Also, the pants needed to be hemmed but somehow she still manages to look pretty.

Charlotte Casiraghi looked lovely in a CHANEL FALL 2020 COUTURE navy satin and floral embellished gown. My only quibble is that it needed to be steamed.

Emilia Schule wore a two-tone cutout gown by GUCCI. I almost wish the entire gown was black and not sheer but it's not a bad look.

Fan Bingbing was my favorite in this custom CHRISTOPHER BU strapless, printed gown. It's refreshing to see this designer pieces back on the carpet because he makes gorgeous pieces. She looked beautiful.

Frederique Bel wore a YANINA SPRING 2016 COUTURE black cape sleeve, sheer illusion dress. This was a great choice but the head styling doesn't compliment it.

Guan Xiaotong also looked beautiful in this dramatic, strapless gown from the VALENTINO SPRING 2023 COUTURE collection. FRED jewelry and a flawless beauty look rounded out her look.

Jiang Mengjie wore a SAINT LAURENT SPRING 2023 ivory long coat and cutout dress. Something about this is off. I don't hate but I don't love it for the occasion.

Pom Klementieff stood out in a purple sequin dress & matching sandals from the ATELIER VERSACE collection. I actually like this. From the color, to the sexy, edgy vibe, she looked great.

Uma Thurman wore a CHRISTIAN DIOR COUTURE pale pink dress and red cape. This really needed to be steamed but either way, I am not a fan.
