96th Academy Awards

On Sunday(March 10th) Jimmy Kimmel hosted the 96th annual Academy Awards which was held at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, CA. To see some of the men's looks, click HERE.

Lupita Nyong'o looked gorgeous wearing a playful sequin and feather, custom GIORGIO ARMANI PRIVE COUTURE dress. Love the color on her, but she can rock any color. A flawless beauty look rounded out her look.

Zendaya was beautiful in a custom GIORGIO ARMANI PRIVE COUTURE one-shoulder, two-tone gown. My only quibble is that I feel like she needed a subtle necklace but she still looked beautiful. 

Da'Vine Joy Randolph looked divine wearing a custom LOUIS VUITTON sequin halter dress with a coordinating cape and in MOUSSAUEFF earrings. She ended on a high note. 

Emma Stone wore a custom LOUIS VUITTON peplum gown and I can't say that I am a fan of it. I like the color, but I'm not sold on the design. 

Cynthia Erivo brought some drama wearing a green ruffle leather dress by LOUIS VUITTON. She needed a necklace, but it still was a great look.  

Ava DuVernay looked pretty in custom LOUIS VUITTON which was accessorized with REZA jewelry and a cease fire pin. 

Gabrielle Union sparkled beautifully in a CAROLINA HERRERA PRE-FALL 2024 silver, crystal embellished strapless mini dress with the matching floor length skirt. 

Eva Longoria looked simply pretty, showing off her décolletage in a TAMARA RALPH COUTURE black off-the-shoulder gown. 

Sandra Huller looked gorgeous wearing a custom SCHIAPARELLI COUTURE black off-the-shoulder gown with CARTIER jewelry. 

Emily Blunt in SCHIAPARELLI SPRING 2024 COUTURE and I don't like the color on her. Also, that panty outline doesn't work for me. 

Erika Alexander wore a custom CHRISTIAN SIRIANO PRE-FALL 2023 gown and the problem here is the design doesn't suit her. She doesn't have the height for this, the fit is off and the tulle peplum detail is overwhelming on her. 

Maitreyi Ramakrishnan utilized the split on her ZUHAIR MURAD SPRING 2024 black and white wrap gown. I am not feeling the hairstyle and I feel like some jewelry was needed. 

Brittany Snow wore a custom MONOT yellow strapless dress which was accessorized with POMELLATTO jewelry and CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN. This label only creates pieces in black, red and white, so it is refreshing to see a design in a bold color like this. 

Julianne Hough hit the carpet in a ALEXANDRE VAUTHIER SPRING 2024 COUTURE strapless jumpsuit with pockets which she utilized. Her jumpsuit featured a gold & silver embroidered top and white wide leg pants. I like the idea of the jumpsuit, but the high waist seam and the pants aren't flattering on her.

Marlee Matlin look pretty in a custom RODARTE dress which is accessorized with BRIONY RAYMOND jewelry and a JUDITH LEIBER clutch.  

Vanessa Hudgens was glowing when she hit the carpet, debuting her growing baby bump in a custom VERA WANG black mock neck gown.

Rita Moreno was all smiles wearing a BADGLEY MISCHKA FALL 2024 black velvet dress with cascading ruffles. It's a fun look for her, but I want to add a diamond bracelet and/or rings. 

Charlize Theron wore a silver CHRISTIAN DIOR SPRING 2024 COUTURE silk dress which she dressed up with BOUCHERON jewelry. It's not an exciting look, but it's not bad. 

Jennifer Lawrence wore a black & white polka dress strapless gown and shawl from the CHRISTIAN DIOR SPRING 2024 COUTURE collection. I feel like a red lip and a belted waist could have elevate this. 

Anya Taylor-Joy looked gorgeous wearing a custom CHRISTIAN DIOR COUTURE gown and if this looks familiar, that's because Natalie Portman wore a very similar version at Cannes last year. 

Billie Eilish wore a black and white CHANEL skirt suit and accessories. This is actually not a bad look and I prefer it more than the baggy looks that she usually wears. 

Margot Robbie in a black strapless VERSACE FALL 2024 dress with FRED LEIGHTON jewelry. Surprisingly, she didn't go the pink route as an ode to Barbie, but this is nice. However, it doesn't excite. A necklace would have been a nice addition.  

Regina King returned to the carpet wearing a ATELIER VERSACE one-shoulder orange gown. Love this color on her, but I feel like the jewelry needed to have a bit more of a statement. Also, I would swap those transparent pumps out for a gold ankle strap sandal. Still, she looked lovely. 

America Ferrera worked her frame in a pink ATELIER VERSACE dress and I love the fit on her. Over the past year, her style has really evolved. She looked pretty. 

Catherine O'hara kept it simple in a custom black sequin dress by RODARTE, which was accessorized with RAHAMINOV diamonds. However, I feel like she has done something like this before. 

Melissa McCarthy wore a custom CHRISTIAN SIRIANO two-tone gown DENA KEMP jewelry and a red clutch. Melissa is pretty, but I am not loving this gown. The pink puffy sleeve cape is a head scratcher for me. 

Ariana Grande wore a custom GIAMBATTISTA VALLI COUTURE COUTURE pink strapless dress, with an exaggerated, puffy sleeve cape. This is wearing her more than she is wearing it and the hairstyle, is just wrong. 

Becky G was on hand as a performer, and she posed on the carpet in a custom dress by VERA WANG. I wish the top was black, but the whole tone of her look doesn't feel Oscar like. The styling isn't helping either.  

Haille Steinfeld returned to the carpet wearing a ELIE SAAB SPRING 2024 COUTURE gold embellished and mint silk-chiffon, scarf gown. She looked great, but I really want to pull the top up on her bust. 

Florence Pugh wore a DEL CORE SPRING 2024 dress with silver PIFERI platform sandals. I can't say that anything about her look here is working for me. 

Carey Mulligan looked gorgeous wearing a BALANECIAGA COUTURE gown with FRED LEIGHTON earrings. However, a necklace and rings was needed.  

Michelle Yeoh also wore a gown by BALENCIAGA, but I feel like the head styling doesn't compliment it. Also, she should have gone with sparkling rings instead of that watch, but I am sure it was a contract agreement. 

Andrea Riseborough could not be missed wearing a colorful stripe, LOEWE FALL 2024 pleated dress. The stripes are very eye-catching, so if she wanted to standout, she certainly did. 

Greta Lee almost always wears LOEWE and it's the perfect fashion marriage. She looked beautiful in the black & white FALL 2024 dress with TIFFANY & CO jewelry. 

Leslie Bibb wore black & white polka dot halter dress by DOLCE & GABBANA polk. To liven up her look, she wore a wore lip and a carried a red ROGER VIVIER clutch. FRED LEIGHTON jewelry topped off her look.

Danielle Brooks served up some leg in a black strapless, slit detail gown by DOLCE & GABBANA. She looked gorgeous no doubt but this does not excite. 

Molly Sims wore GEORGES CHAKRA SPRING 2024 COUTURE pink silk chiffon halter dress and cape with RAHAMINOV diamonds. I really dislike that neckline. 

Kelly Ripa wore a black sheer velvet dress from the JASON WU FALL 2023 collection. An off-the-shoulder hairstyle, red lip, and a statement necklace could have enhanced her look. 

Xochitl Gomez wore a burgundy GUCCI, silk-chiffon, one-shoulder dress. The design of the top is a bit fussy, but her overall look is not bad. 

Olivia Munn made a rare appearance wearing a custom FENDI COUTURE one-shoulder gown, with a draped panel in the back that flowed into a train. 

Kirsten Dunst posed with her husband Jesse Plemons and they both wore GUCCI. Kirsten wore a simple, white GUCCI dress with FRED LEIGHTON jewelry. I like the red lip and this is a cute lip, but the fit of the top looks off. 

Lily Gladstone wore a custom GUCCI dress in collaboration Creative Director Sabato De Sarno and Indigenous designer Joe Big Mountain of Ironhorse Quillwork and she looked beautiful. 

GRETA GERWIG wore a gold, crystal embellished dress by GUCCI. I feel like a complimentary colored was needed for balance, but this still wasn't a bad look.

Grace Gummer utilized the split on her burgundy GUCCI, sequin slit detail dress. I don't like the sheer sleeves, but other than that, she looked great.

Issa Rae was another celeb who wore all black but hers was courtesy of AMI PARIS. Her skin looks fantastic and although this is not the most exciting look, she does look pretty. However, I feel like a necklace was needed. 

Ryan Michelle Bathe wore a Grecian inspired, white, draped chiffon dress with GIANVITO ROSSI heels. Even with those statement earrings, she still needed a necklace. However, I wish the jewelry was gold and I wish the underlining came all the way down to the hem.
