On Sunday(January 4th) the 31st annual Critics Choice Awards took place at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. To see more celeb looks, click HERE and continue below for the wrap-up.
Denee Benton wore a custom BACH MAI bra top with a coordinating two-tone corset, floor length skirt. Her head styling is on point, but I'm not loving the design.
Renate Reinsve wore a THE ROW black strapless dress with a satin draped panel in the back. I feel like sheer needed a necklace and a nipped waist. The fit is kinda off here as well.
Ethan Hawke stepped out in a black and white embroidered, double-breasted suit from the BODE FALL 2025 collection. I like that he wore something interesting, instead of plain and basic. However, there are fit issues with his suit.
Sarah Shahi showed just a little midriff in a GEORGES HOBEIKA black and silver embellished crop top with the matching skirt. I think my issue here is the styling. Her hair should have been sleeker and off-the-shoulders, and a simpler heel would have been a better shoe choice over those heavy platforms.
Odessa A'Zion wore a custom silver sequin, cape sleeves dress with a high, key-hole neckline by OTT DUBAI. I want to dislike it, but I kinda like it. The key-hole is a bit too wide and I'm not sold on the fabric. However, I love her light makeup look and curls which compliments the disco. Also, Terri Hatcher wore this dress at the 2025 iHeart Radio Jingle Ball which you can see HERE.
Mona Fastvold wore a black silk off-the-shoulder dress by MIU MIU. I'm not sold on the design of the top, but the dress looked better on her than the model.
Nicole Beharie and Salli Richardson both wore gowns by SEBASTIAN GUNAWAN. Nicole accessorized hers with LE VIAN & ANAYAH jewelry. I wish the silver embellishments covered the entire bodice and the nude corset mini should have been the same length as the skirt. Salli opted for a black bubble gown with a sheer organza underlay and she looked pretty.
Keri Russell wore a TOM FORD FALL 2025 black crop suit which was accessorized with a TYLER ELLIS clutch and a statement brooch. I like everything but the white top.
Eva Victor wore a FERRAGAMO SPRING 2026 black over-sized suit with a tie-waist. I love an over-sized suit and when done right, it can be impactful. I just don't feel like the style suits Eva.
Kristen Bell wore a ELIE SAAB black lace, halter dress which was accessorized with EFFY jewelry. This is just okay for me. A red lip would have made her look a bit more exciting.
Chloe Zhao wore a RODARTE FALL 2025 BRIDAL white ruffle motif, flocked dress with a flower on the neckline. I am glad that she lined the dress, but the head styling doesn't compliment it nor does the shoes.
Leighton Meester looked lovely in a CAROLINA HERRERA SPRING 2026 strapless embroidered gown which she accessorized with CHOPARD jewelry. I like this color on her.
Ego Nwodim utilized the split on her CAROLINA HERRERA red slit detail gown which was accessorized with FRED LEIGHTON jewelry. A contrasting black velvet bow was added to slit which added charm to her gown. She looked pretty, but my only quibble are the pumps. I feel like an ankle strap heel would have been a better choice.
Natasha Lyonne wore a CELINE black sequin catsuit with her signature voluminous hair. I don't like this for the occasion nor the head styling. Also, I think the proportions are off with the trumpet sleeves and flare legs. It should have been one or the other.
Jackie Tohn wore the KHOON HOOI 'Eugenie' marigold off-the-shoulder, duchess satin dress with CARINA HARDY jewelry. In the look book, the dress was shown with embellishments on the top and a contrasting black panel in the back. I actually prefer the look book version because the embellishments adds charm and edge to the cocoon silhouette. Also, I am not 100% sold on the color for her.
Jessie Buckley wore a CHRISTIAN DIOR PRE-FALL 2026 white draped, tie detail top with black trousers. This is an interesting piece, but the top is too weird and fussy.
Quinta Brunson suited up in a blush pink single-breasted suit by CHLOE. This is a bit underwhelming for me, but general speaking, she looked great in this suit. Although, there are some fit issues.
Adam Scott wore a classic black tuxedo by DOLCE & GABBANA. He looked great but the pants needed to be hemmed.
Leo Woodall also went the classic route, opting for a PAUL SMITH black double-breasted tuxedo. This is not a bad look, but it's boring.
Sophia Lillis wore a GIAMBATTISTA VALLI SPRING 2026 two-piece floral ensemble which she made look like a one-piece tea length dress. I prefer how Sophia is wearing the top tucked in and I don't mind the sheer skirt. However, I am not loving the nude ankle strap sandals. I feel like a fuchsia or metallic hue would have been a better color choice.
