12th Breakthrough Prize Ceremony

On Saturday(April 18th) the 12th Breakthrough Prize Ceremony took place at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. 

Zoe Saldana stepped out in an orange strapless velvet dress from the ALAIA FALL 2026 collection. I love this dress and I thought it was a great choice for her, but I dislike her shoe choice. A simple sleek, pointy toe pump would have been ideal. 

Anne Hathaway was all smiles wearing a black RALPH LAUREN asymmetrical dress which was accessorized with BULGARI jewelry. It's a simple but pretty look that got the job done. 

Behati Prinsloo went the vintage route, wearing a PLEIN SUD dress from TAB VINTAGE. Even though I like this dress, the fit seems off and her hair should have been completely off-the-shoulders. 

Chrissy Teigen wore a CONG TRI SPRING 2026 strapless dress with a slit detail and fringe train. The color wasn't a great choice for her. 

Christina Aguilera wore a SALIH BALTA FALL 2026 black off-the-shoulder dress with a flowing train. The hair is giving Oompa Loompa and the fit of the dress is too tight on the bust. 

Gal Gadot made a rare appearance wearing a ALTUZARRA FALL 2026 black pleated dress with a crop blazer. This feels too heavy for the current season and I would have loved to see a brooch or pin on the blazer.

Gigi Hadid looked pretty wearing a DAVID KOMA white halter dress. The jewel pink did the heavy lifting here, by keeping her dress interesting. 

Naomi Watts wore a PRADA black embellished column dress. We may have seen similar designs like this from the fashion, but Naomi wore this well. 

Jessica Chastain wore a raffia strapless gown by OSCAR DE LA RENTA. For me, I dislike the color on her and the hemline.  

Lily Collins wore a SAINT LAURENT column dress and this would have been better in a different color for her. Also, a statement necklace and/or bracelets were needed. 

Jewel served up some leg in a TOM FORD SPRING 2026 yellow draped dress. I'm not loving asymmetrical split, but she is working it. Also, I feel like she needed a necklace or the cuff the model is wearing. 

Katharine McPhee Foster wore a LEO LIN SPRING 2026 white embroidered layered dress with an embellished neckline. 

Michelle Williams kept it simple, but she looked pretty wearing a FFORME FALL 2026 black dress with a gold hardware around the neck with and the coordinating bracelet.

Miranda Kerr wore the SOLACE LONDON 'Imani' navy column dress with a skirt train in the back. I love the dress, but the fit looks off. Also, I would swap out those navy pumps for a silver metallic hell. 

Olivia Wilde wore a color-blocked, off-the-shoulder dress from the ERDEM FALLL 2026 collection. I prefer the look of the dress on the model. 

Salma Hayek looked beautiful wearing a GUCCI black sequin, v-neck dress. Her style could be a hit or miss, but this is definitely a hit. 

Michelle Yeoh wore a suit by GIORIO ARMANI and it was a great choice. However, I'm not loving the hair and the pants needed to be hemmed.
