Angela Basset in Antonio Grimaldi Couture at the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards

On hand as a presenter, Angela Bassett attended the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards this evening(September 22nd) at the Microsoft Theater in LA.

Color was on the menu tonight as she joined the list of celebs who wore vibrant hues. She chose a bold red ensemble from the ANTONIO GRIMALDI FALL 2019 COUTURE collection. 

On the runway, the strapless asymmetrical cape top was shown was a split detail skirt but Angela swapped it out for high-waist trousers. I actually prefer Angela's presentation of the cape with the trousers. 

The colorful JUDITH LEIBER bag adds a playful detail to her look. SUTRA earrings, DAVID WEBB & WENDY YUE rings, CASADEI sandals and a flawless beauty look rounded out her winning look.

23rd Screen Actors Guild Awards Wrap-up

Jurnee Smollett-Bell who also attended the Variety brunch, wore a red strapless ALBERTA FERRETTI SPRING 2017 LIMITED EIDTION COUTURE gown which is hot off the runway. She looks pretty but some sparkly, statement jewelry could have elevated this look.

Busy Philipps wore a JEFFERY DODD PRE-FALL 2017 elbow sleeve wave sequin floor length dress which she accessorized with JACOB & CO jewelry and a JUDITH LEIBER clutch. Love the color combo and the vampy lip complimented it.

Brie Larson kept it simple in a white JASON WU halter dress with a side front split detail. I actually like this dress but the styling is a snooze. Her black sandals were a safe choice. I think statement sandals and a bolder colored lip could have enhanced her look. REPOSSI jewelry finished up her look.

Sarah Hyland hit the orange carpet on Thursday(October 20th) at the ASPCA Los Angeles Benefit which was held at a Private Residence in LA.

For there outing, she wore a ANTONIO GRIMALDI FALL 2016 sleeveless mustard yellow velvet mini dress. While some may have went with black pumps, Sarah went with a teal hued JIMMY CHOO suede pumps to keep her look interesting. 

Beauty wise, she went with a top knot and a light shimmery eye which was offset with a bold red matte lip. She topped off her look along with JENNIFER FISHER jewelry.

'Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice' NYC Premiere Wrap-up

Mary Elizabeth Winstead wore a DAVID KOMA black & cobalt blue dress with a v-neck top with draped ruffled cold-shoulders. The top part of her dress doesn't work for me but I do love her NICHOLAS KIRKWOOD heels.

Holly Hunter went the elegant route wearing a ANTONIO GRIMALDI COUTURE blue and silver embellished hand-embroidered sheer gown. There seems to be a little too much fabric at the hem but the dress looks great on her. Also I am thankful that her silver platform sandals aren't visible as they are too heavy for this dress. Crimped hair and pink lips completed her look.

Tao Okamoto hasn't been on the carpet in a while but she looked great in a TADASHI SHOJI FALL 2016 strapless metallic and black sheer layered dress styled with SERGIO ROSSI heels. Side swept locks and smokey eyes completed her look.
