23rd Screen Actors Guild Awards Wrap-up

Last night(January 29th) the 23rd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards took place at the Shrine Auditorium in LA. To see all of the looks, click HERE and continue below for the wrap-up.

Jurnee Smollett-Bell who also attended the Variety brunch, wore a red strapless ALBERTA FERRETTI SPRING 2017 LIMITED EIDTION COUTURE gown which is hot off the runway. She looks pretty but some sparkly, statement jewelry could have elevated this look.

Busy Philipps wore a JEFFERY DODD PRE-FALL 2017 elbow sleeve wave sequin floor length dress which she accessorized with JACOB & CO jewelry and a JUDITH LEIBER clutch. Love the color combo and the vampy lip complimented it.

Brie Larson kept it simple in a white JASON WU halter dress with a side front split detail. I actually like this dress but the styling is a snooze. Her black sandals were a safe choice. I think statement sandals and a bolder colored lip could have enhanced her look. REPOSSI jewelry finished up her look.

Viola Davis walked a deserving winner wearing a strapless VIVIENNE WESTWOOD COUTURE white satin crossover gown with a split & train detail. I am not sold on the quality of this dress and it doesn't seem to fit well on the bust but she said on the carpet that she liked her dress and she was happy as can be. NIRAV MODI jewelry finished up her look.

Gwendoline Christie also wore VIVIENNE WESTWOOD COUTURE which isn't surprising considering she's one of her go to designer's. I actually liked her custom black sequin belted jumpsuit but I wish she went with sandals over the boots.

Rashida Jones also showed up wearing VIVIENNE WESTWOOD COUTURE. Her pink & red printed silk-chiffon halter gown was adorned with a ribbon sash for a pulled in waist. I kinda wish she went with a more elegant hairstyle but she still looked pretty.

Anna Chlumsky also wore a ELIZABETH KENNEDY dress. Her fuchsia strapless draped floor length dress featured a contrasting purple underling. For me, this dress is a bit unflattering but I like the color.

Uzo Aduba who walked away a winner with her cast, wore a ELIZABETH KENNEDY SPRING 2017 white & black off-the-shoulder gown with a draped side panel. Her cleavage took center stage but other than that, she was a beauty.

Bryce Dallas Howard was a beauty in the DRESS THE POPULATION 'Harper' burgundy sequin dress which she accessorize with IRENE NEUWIRTH jewelry.

Taylor Schilling wore an ADEAM FALL 2017 burgundy sheer lace embroidered & ruffled crepe gown. She vamped up her look with a matching lip. I like the dress but her look doesn't excite. Maybe she should have added a little sparkle.

Kathryn Hahn also wore a ADEAM dress. Her black textured, pleated chiffon gown featured a lace-up detail on the sides. A elegant hairstyle, colored lip and sparkly jewelry could have saved this look.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus gave a funny speech when she accepted her award wearing a LELA ROSE FALL 2016 black strapless column dress with gold leaf embroidery.

Kirsten Dunst wore a white CHRISTIAN DIOR lace embroidered dress with silver beaded straps. She dressed up her look with a sparkly necklace which topped off her look along with a colored lip and center part light waves.

Octavia Spencer wore a custom TADASHI SHOJI black lace embroidered peplum dress with a sheer yoke and three-quarter sleeves. Adding some color to her look, she accessorized with turquoise stone jewelry courtesy of JACOB & CO.

Millie Bobby Brown is just so adorable and she looked cute in a custom GIORGIO ARMANI red layered chiffon dress with a gathered beaded top and a red sparkly belt.

Meryl Streep wore a VALENTINO SPRING 2017 white long sleeve printed silk-chiffon gown. Meryl's gown hit the runway sheer, & unlined but of the course the actress lined her gown which worked in her favor.

Tracee Ellis Ross wore a ULYANA SERGEENKO black floor length v-neck dress with long split sleeves. Tracee has been serving up some statement looks so I was a bit underwhelmed by this simple black look.

Felicity Huffman was on hand to support hubby William H. Macy who walked away a winner. She wore a ANTONIO GRIMALDI FALL 2016 pink hand beaded gown with sheer panel detail. The hair is a bit on the matronly side but I like the dress. MARITN KATZ jewelry and BADGLEY MISCHKA heels finished up her look.

Sarah Paulson walked away a winner wearing a VERA WANG SPRING 2017 black strapless peplum gown and a white cape. This is not a wow moment but she indeed looked lovely. NIRAV MODI jewelry, a TYLER ELLIS clutch and a red lip finished up her look.

Gina Rodriguez wore a PATRICIA BONALDI beaded dress which she accessorized with HUEB earrings, LFRANK & CSARITE rings and JIMMY CHOO heels.

Danielle Brooks wore a white CHRISTIAN SIRIANO ensemble which featured a short sleeve embroidered train detail top and white leg trousers. I actually like this look but for it to be custom made, I don't get the un-hemmed pants.

Nathalie Emmanuel wore a J. MENDEL FALL 2016 COUTURE black & gold off-the-shoulder beaded ankle length dress with long split sleeves. I think a colored lip wouldn't have hurt to enhance her look but she was pretty.

Julie Bowen is usually a Lhuillier girl but she ditched the designer for a J. MENDEL SPRING 2017 see-through white lace embroidered dress with a nude bodysuit underneath. I don't think I have ever seen Julie in a look like this before and I think she should stay very far away from it. She doesn't have the edge to pull something like this off and she looks uncomfortable.

Ariel Winter worked her curves in another sheer beaded dress courtesy of MIKAEL D. While I don't mind a colored lip, the orange is just a bit too harsh here.
