When I think of eye brows, only one name comes to mind and that's Damone Roberts. Damone is a black business owner and I was excited when I got the opportunity to try his eyebrow products. He is known for creating exceptional beauty looks and sculpting the perfect eyebrow arch. His hard work and unique technique has landed him with the title of 'Eye-brow King.'' Beauty Spotlight: Winky Lux

There is no question about the amount of beauty products available on the market. But there are some products that you may find and want to keep in your daily beauty regiment and my beauty spotlight brand WINKY LUX is one of them. Cheri's Fashion Find: Keysocks

No matter what temperature it is outside, whenever I am wearing pumps, flats or sneakers, I don't like wearing socks or hosiery. Cheri Stories: Back at the Angelo David Salon

For the first time in 2014 I had the opportunity to visit the Angelo David Salon during NYFW for a complimentary blowout & manicure. Well this past NYFW I went back and once again it was worth the trip to the salon at 420 Madison avenue which is the new location. The luxury salon specializes in couture extensions, coloring, thinning solutions, bridal services, make-up/eyebrow services, private consultations and more. The staff welcomed everyone as they came in and the decor was  uncomplicated in design & very relaxing. In between shows, I slipped in for a complimentary blowout which was done by Dion Moore and a manicure. He gave me one of the best straight, blowouts that I have ever had and when he was finished, we both agreed that he was 'the bomb'. The staff is very professional and they ask you what you really want along with making sure that you are happy with it. Recently I had the opportunity to attend a blogger event where I learned about SILK'N and their products. In the midst of learning about the product, I was able to try out the 'Silk'n ReVit' tool. This ReVit micro-dermabrasion tool helps to remove dead skin cells, improve skin tones and diminish those fine lines & spots.

We all know that we can't be young forever but using a simple tool like this to improve your skin's texture without going under the knife and getting professional results, to me it's worth it. The tool is simple and very easy to use. The exfoliaent vacuum works to stimulate the skin while bringing to light a flawless complexion. The ReVit comes with 3 different detachable attachments: Precision, Fine & Coarse. 

The different attachment heads are designed to treat specific parts of the face, neck & hands. If you have normal or recently treated skin, you should use the Fine head attachment. For a more intense abrasion, use the Coarse head attachment and to target those small areas around the nose & eyes, use the Precision head attachment. For me, I used the Fine attachment head. Before use, you want to make sure that you clean your face so that is free from any creams or make-up. The tool makes a little suction sound and all you have to do is glide it across the areas on your face that you want to treat. 

Also you would want to treat each area for about 5 minutes and repeat if necessary depending on your skin condition. While using the ReVit tool, I hung out with a friend watching TV, laughing and discussing the product. I felt no pain and this helped to keep me distracted & relaxed during the treatment. Cheri's Stories at the 'Breathe Easy' Spa

Recently I was invited to the 'Breathe Easy' spa for 'salt therapy' and I must say that I was a bit skeptical at first because I never heard of it. However I am glad that I went for the experience. First off, let me explain a little what the salt therapy is. It's a natural way to treat different kinds of health conditions that consist of skin problems to upper & lower respiratory conditions.

For your salt therapy treatment, you have the option to do the salt bed or room. During my visit, I tried both to experience both sides of the treatment and you can as well. For the salt bed, which looks like a tanning bed with covered plexiglass(see below), you go into a private & secure room where you can disrobe(wear a swimsuit) to expose trouble skin if needed. 

While lying in the bed, I took deep breathes as I relaxed to my own music as the salt did it's job. I got so relaxed that I actually fell asleep during my session which I was told would probably happen. After about 45minutes in the salt bed, I headed to the salt room(see above) where I kicked my feet up, read a book & relaxed as the salt was dispensed around me.

The experience was so natural and soothing and I plan to incorporate it in a routine. If you have doubts, no worries because the staff was great on educating me about salt therapy which made me feel comfortable. It's nothing scary, just a relaxing, calming spa experience with salt.
