2021 LA Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic

Following Jimmy Kimmel, Charlize Theron and more attended the 2021 Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at Will Rogers State Historic Park on Satruday(October 2nd) in Pacific Palisades, California.

Charlize Theron was casually cool, rocking a white button down shirt and a faux wrap houndstooth skirt which was accessorized with a black clutch and GIVENCHY loafers.

Abigail Spencer looked great wearing a CELINE SPRING 2021 floral georgette, halter dress which was accessorized with a tan clutch and brown platform sandals. 

Ella Balinska rocked a DAVID KOMA RESORT 2022 white strapless, embellished jumpsuit. I don't think this works for the occasion but I love this jumpsuit on her.

2020 E! People's Choice Awards Wrap-up

Yesterday evening(November 15th) Demi Lovato, Tracee Ellis Ross and more attended the 2020 E! People's Choice Awards was held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. Due to the pandemic, we didn't see a packed red carpet and the show was partially virtual but I have a few looks to show. 

Jennifer Lopez was honored with the ''People's Icon'' award and she looked beautiful in a CHRISTIAN SIRIANO SPRING 2021 dress. Love this color on her but my only quibble are the GIANVITO ROSSI transparent heels. I feel like she needed a more interesting choice like red ankle strap sandals or pumps but the dress still worked for her moment. FOREVERMARK jewelry and a TYLER ELLIS clutch finished up her look.

Christina Hendricks, Angela Bassett & Elizabeth Olsen at the 2019 The Rape Foundation Brunch

Following her attendance at the Polo Classics, Christina Hendricks joined Angela Bassett and Elizabeth Olsen at the 2019 The Rape Foundation Annual Brunch yesterday(October 6th) in Beverly Hills, NY.

Christina Hendricks could not be missed in a yellow printed dress by DOLCE & GABBANA. The shoes are a let down here. White, pink or even silver metallic sandals or pumps would have been ideal. 

Angela Bassett also chose a standout color courtesy of GRETA CONSTANTINE. Her lime green off the shoulder midi dress with slit in the front, was accessorized with EFFY earrings, a SANDRINE DE LAAGE ring, an ALEXIS BITTAR bracelet, a printed clutch and platform pumps. I think I would swap out the pumps for a simpler style. 

Elizabeth Olsen wore black ruffle floral, maxi length dress which was belted at the waist. Instead of wearing sandals, Elizabeth opted for black boots which worked as well.

Sienna Miller delivered a golden look, which featured a gold sequin, v-neck halter dress, which was belted at the waist and gold mule sandals. The gold GUCCI mules are a little off with her dress but she still looked great.

2019 Costume Designers Guild Awards

Last night(February 19th) the 2019 Costume Designers Guild Awards took place at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA.

Sonequa Martin-Green wore a SIMONE ROCHA SPRING 2019 orange foil strapless pleated circular dress, which was layered with a sheer organza cape. On the runway, the dress was layered with a fishnet tutu underneath which provided a full shape. However I am thankful that Sonequa didn't wear it because the dress seems better without it.

Christina Hendricks in Temperley London at the 44th E! People's Choice Awards

Christina Hendricks was a presenter this evening(November 111th) at the 44th E! People's Choice Awards at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA.

Christina's style can be hit or miss but I am digging her in this TEMPERLEY LONDON FALL 2018 jumpsuit which seems like an ode to veterans day. The 'Memento' moss green boilersuit was adorned with colorful patches and featured a cinched waist and center front, button closure. 

While the model looks great in this jumpsuit, I actually prefer it more on Christina. She fills it out perfectly. However I don't really like her glittery pumps with it but the pink satin clutch works. What do you think of Christina's look?

Badass Women Event Wrap-up

Tracee Ellis Ross and more attended the Badass Women event at Sunset Tower in LA on Saturday(October 27th). Trace hosted the event along with InStyle and Brahmin. 

Yvonne Orji looked chic in this SAFIYAA PRE-FALL 2018 pink skirt which she styled perfectly with black & white SCHUTZ color-block sandals. 

Yaya DaCosta looked great as well wearing a white cape sleeve suit and a printed crop top. The pants probably needed to be hemmed but she still looked great. 

Aja Naomi King brought more color in the mix, courtesy of ROLAND MOURET. Her PRE-FALL 2018 'Warren' red asymmetrical short sleeve dress was teamed with metallic sandals. 

Laverne Cox worked her frame in a black organza midi, with nude underlining for coverage. Black heels, a red lip and off-the-shoulder tresses finished up her look.

Yesterday(September 9th) Sienna Miller and Christina Hendricks attended the 'American Women' premiere during the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival in Toronto, Canada. 

Sienna Miller wore a black LOUIS VUITTON halter dress, featuring a plunging neckline and a corseted waist. For me, this doesn't read LV but I do like it. However overall, her look doesn't excite.

Christina Hendricks wore the BELLA FREUD 'Nova' long sleeve red, v-neck dress which she accessorized with gold cuffs, a gold clutch and gold STELLA LUNA heels. While I do like the dress, it looks too tight on the bust.

Christina Hendricks was back on the red carpet yesterday evening(December 13th) for the premiere of 'Crooked House' at the Metrograph in New York. 

Working an all black look, she wore a black DOLCE & GABBANA three-quarter sleeve dress with contrasting white line stitching with a v-neckline and ruffle hem. As with all of Christina's dresses, it is always too tight on the bust. 

The bold red lip added a small touch of edge to her look. However a more interesting pair of heels could have elevated her look. What do you think of Christina's all black look>

Christina Hendricks in Shoshanna at the UCLA IoES Gala

It's been a little bit since we have seen Christina Hendricks on the carpet but the actress stepped out for the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability celebration for Innovators for a Healthy Planet at a Private Residence yesterday evening(March 13th) in Beverly Hills, CA.

The actress worked her curves perfectly in the SHOSHANNA SPRING MIDNIGHT 2017 navy guipure lace embroidered gown with cap sleeves and a high low circle hem. Love this dress on her but I can't get on board with the accessories. 

I am not a fan of the EDIE PARKER nude marble clutch and I think a nude ankle strap sandal would have been ideal over those pumps. Side parted beautiful waves, minimal make-up and gold earrings finished up her look. Does Christina's accessories work for you?

Christina Hendricks in Temperley London at the 'Fist Fight' LA Premiere

I love the fact that Christina Hendricks embraces her curves but she doesn't always wear the right pieces to compliment it. Yesterday evening(February 13th) she attended the premiere of 'Fist Fight' at the Regency Village Theater in Westwood, CA.

She hit the red carpet in a TEMPERLEY LONDON FALL 2016 black sheer dotted & printed embroidered floor length dress. Christina is wearing a modified version of the runway dress which featured a center front split. Also while the dress was shown with shorts for coverage on the runway, Christina's version was layered with a black dress underneath. 

I think the underlining worked because it didn't take anything away from the embroidered but the print doesn't looking flattering on the top. Maybe it's because it's very tight because her breast is the focal point here. Hair & make-up is on point though. What do you think of Christina's look?

What I love about Christina Hendricks is that she knows how to work her voluptuous frame. Yesterday evening(November 15th) she attended the 'Bad Santa 2' premiere at AMC Loews Lincoln Square 13 theater in New York City. 

For the occasion, she wore the TADASHI SHOJI FALL 2016 'Agatha' long sleeve black & gold evening gown with a high neck geometric sequins & tattoo motif embroidery bodice. 

Beauty wise, she went with center part medium waves and a colored. Love her sultry, elegant look which was topped off with a gold & black NAEEM KHAN clutch.

Harper's BAZAAR 3rd ICONS Party

On Friday(September 9th) Harper's BAZAAR celebrated it's Third ICONS Portfolio by Carine Roitfeld at The Plaza Hotel in New York.

Winnie Harlow wore a PAMELLA ROLAND RESORT 2017 sheer illusion long sleeve silver beaded evening dress. The dress wasn't featured in the look book with an belt but Winnie added one which worked in her favor. The hair color has to grow on me but she looks nice. 

Mary J. Blige wore a BALMAIN long sleeve black Harlequin print sheer illusion mini dress styled with black pointy toe booties. The fit of the dress doesn't work for me but this is a MJB style. 

Camila Alves looked great in a J. MENDEL halter dress which featured a floral bodice and a black & white high split skirt. STUART WIETZMAN sandals, LORRAINE SCHWARTZ jewelry and a curly up-do finished up her look.

Christina Hendricks in Jenny Packham at The Neon Demon LA Premiere

Christina Hendricks embraces her curves which is one of the reasons I like her. Yesterday evening she  attended The Neon Demon premiere at ArcLight Hollywood in Hollywood, CA. 

She posed on the purple carpet wearing a JENNY PACKHAM SPRING 2016 blue midi dress with a sequin leaf pattern and a slight off-the-shoulder detail. Christina's dress was altered from the runway version which featured a contrasting solid blue waistband for a cinched waist. 

I actually wish she kept it as it would have given her a more defined silhouette. Also while I like the metallic pumps, I think a simple strappy sandal would have been ideal. The ANYA HINDMARCH 'Boom' clutch and curly locks with bands completed her look. Do you miss the solid waistband as well or does her look work without it?

Christina Hendricks in Christian Siriano at the Hap & Leonard NY Premiere Launch

Pulling off a print on print ensemble can be easy for some fashionista's, however it is not for everyone. Yesterday Christina Hendricks attended Sundance TV's launch celebration of it's original scripted series 'Hap and Leonard' at the Hill Country BBQ in New York.

Turning to one of her go to designers, she wore a colorful floral and monkey printed CHRISTIAN SIRIANO RESORT 2016 skirt suit. I would have loved to see her with a solid top and the skirt because I find the jacket to be a bit much for her especially at the bust.

However kudos to her for taking on such a bold patterned suit, monkeys included. A simple up-do with a center part bang, black mesh pumps & a quilted clutch and a rosy lip completed her look. Do you think Christina pulled off this look?
