On Saturday(June 3rd) the 2023 Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic took place at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey with some notable celebs in attendance. 

Danai Gurira wore a OFF-WHITE FALL 2023 strapless rust orange & black pleated mini dress which was accessorized with a ESENSHEL hat and CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN sandals. There are some fit issues and I am not feeling the accessories with the dress but the dress looked better on Danai than it did on the model.

On Saturday(April 22nd), Zoe Saldana, Pom Klementieff and Karen Gillan attended the ''Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3'' gala event at the Avengers Campus at Disneyland Paris.

Zoe Saldana wore a GIORGIO ARMANI PRIVE SPRING 2023 COUTURE and I am glad that she didn't wear it as presented on the runway. However, the addition of the tights ruined it for me. Simple ankle strap heels would have completed this look perfectly.

'Thor: Love and Thunder' LA Premiere

Following Jimmy Kimmel Live & his previous premiere look, Tessa Thompson, Chris Pratt and more hit the red carper for the premiere of Marvel Studios 'Thor: Love and Thunder' at the El Capitan Theatre yesterday evening( June 23rd) in LA.

Tessa Thompson is always going to serve us with an interesting look. She wore a custom GIORGIO ARMANI PRIVE COUTURE strapless dress. I really like the color and the fabric but the draped, cutout waist looks off. Statement earrings would have really finish this off in the right direction but overall, I still thought she looked beautiful. EFFY, EF COLLECTION & SARA WEINSTOCK jewelry and a braided ponytail finished her look. 

Natalie Portman is continuing on her no Dior route, this time wearing a gold beaded mini dress by CELINE. It's a cute look and it is definitely working on her but the hair and makeup doesn't work at all. ANITA KO and JIMMY CHOO sandals finished up her look.

She posed for the gram in a ALBERTA FERRETTI FALL 2021 ensemble which featured a blue turtleneck and a green wrap pleated skirt with side pockets which she utilized. The gold buckle hardware on the skirt doubles as a jewelry piece which kept her ensemble from being plain.

Karen Gillan is in the new film the 'Call of the Wild' and yesterday evening(February 13th), she attended the premiere at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, California.

Karen is a fashion risk taker and whether the pieces are difficult or bold, she is always up for the fashion challenge. Case in point, this ROCHAS SPRING 2020 beaded gold lame, pleated dress with side pockets which she utilized. 

This is one of those pieces where you are either going to hate it or love it. Gold lame and shapeless dresses are two of the most difficult things to pull off but I kinda like this on Karen and the model.

Plus this is a workable shape. A red lip and gold ankle strap pumps rounded out her look. Do you think Karen pulled this gold number off?

Utilizing the pockets on her dress, she wore the ERDEM FALL 2019 'Carenna' purple and black strapless, rose jacquard midi dress with a pleated skirt. Her hair was put in a slick, side parted up-do which was adorned with purple embellished hair clips that coordinated with her romantic look.

While Karen Gillan's fate is unknown, she was on hand this evening(April 22nd) for the 'Avengers Endgame' premiere at the LA Convention Center in LA.

Turning to a fashion brand that she has worn on several occasions, she wore a CHRISTOPHER KANE FALL 2019 red embroidered paillette fringe top and a black embroidered fringe cupcake skirt. While the sneakers added a casual finish to the ensemble on the runway, Karen dressed up the ensemble with the JIMMY CHOO 'Aveline' black mesh, fascinator bow sandals. 

I actually like this ensemble with the sneakers, for it's playful, sporty appeal. While sandals work, I feel she should have gone with an simpler style. NORMAN SILVERMAN & AMWAJ jewelry, red lips and a ponytail finished up her look. Does Karen's shoe choice work for you?
