Marina de Tavira in J. Mendel at the 91st Academy Awards

Following her attendance at the Spirit awards, Marina de Tavira was on the red carpet this evening(February 24th) for the 91st Academy Awards at the Dolby Theater in LA.

This is Marina's first appearance at the Oscars, so naturally she wanted to make a grand entrance and she did just that in this J. MENDEL gown. Her FALL 2019 red strapless gown, featured a fitted bodice with boning and a ruffle tiered skirt.

She dressed up her gown perfectly with LORRAINE SCHWARTZ jewelry, which topped off her look along with side parted wavy tresses.

34th Film Independent Spirit Awards Wrap-up

The 34th Film Independent Spirit Awards took place this afternoon(February 23rd) in Santa Monica, CA. To see all of the celeb looks, click HERE and continue below for the wrap-up.

Aubrey Plaza hosted the show and she posed on the carpet wearing a MIU MIU black calf length dress, featuring contrasting silver embellished trim and a cutout back. For me, this is just okay. CHLOE GOSSELIN heels topped off her look.

Yalitza Aparicio was simply beautiful wearing a MIU MIU red cutout bow detail dress, which was accessorized with LE VIAN, ANABELA CHAN & JENNIFER MEYER jewelry, and SAM EDELMAN pumps.

Marina de Tavira wore a ALFREDO MARTINEZ black & white one long sleeve, with an asymmetrical hem. What kept her look somewhat interesting, is the green belt. It adds an touch of color and it makes her overall look chicer. LE VIAN jewelry and JIMMY CHOO pumps finished up her look.

Marina de Tavira & Yalitza Aparircio at THR Oscar Nominees Dinner

Following their attendance at the Directors Guild of America awards, Marina de Tavira and Yalitza Aparicio attended The Hollywood Reporter Oscar Nominees dinner last night(February 4th) at CUT Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills, CA.

Marina de Tavira wore a REEM ACRA PRE-FALL 2019 sheer black and blue velvet gown with a sweetheart neckline and billowed, three-quarter sleeves. I like the fullness of the skirt on the model but Marina sells the gown either way. She dressed up her gown with BRUMANI jewelry which topped off her look, along with an up-do.

71st DGA Awards

Last night(February 2nd) the 71st Annual Directors Guild of America(DGA) Awards took place at The Ray Dolby Ballroom in Hollywood, California.

Constance Wu was head to toe in MIU MIU which featured a strapless black & silver embellished gown, with a white feathered neckline, a black clutch and silver sandals. Love this playful gown but it looks a little too loose on her. MELINDA MARIA jewelry and a fuchsia lip finished up her look.

Sacha Baron Cohen looked great wearing this bold PAUL SMITH tuxedo. Thankfully it's not one of those boring blue hues, because the royal blue stands out more.

Isla Fisher wore a REEM ACRA PRE-FALL 2019 red, long-sleeve gown with plunging neckline and knot detail waist. Isla is reminding me of Amy Adams here because this is so her. Nonetheless, simple as it is, this is one of Isla's best look.

Sarah Paulson also wore a look courtesy of MIU MIU. Her blue sequin midi dress featured a v-neckline which was adorned with a black rose and a cutout waist. The idea of this is cute but I don't like the fit. NIKOS KOULIS jewelry, a TYLER ELLIS clutch and a vibrant pink lip finished up her look.

2019 New York Film Critics Circle Awards Wrap-up

Elsie Fisher, Naomi Watts, Regina Hall and more attended the 2019 New York Film Critics Circle Awards at TAO Downtown in New York yesterday evening(January 7th).

Yalitza Aparicio who also attended the Globes, kept it simple but chic in a black, bracelet sleeve PRADA embellished, which was teamed with STUART WEITZMAN pumps. A simple ponytail and red lip rounded out her great look.

Regina King who won big at the Globes, stood out the most wearing this MICHAEL KORS COLLECTION pink long sleeve sequin dress. I feel like we have already seen this MK dress before but she nailed it. A minimal but complimentary beauty look and EFFY rings rounded out her look.

Marina de Tavira who was also at the Globes, wore a  REBECCA DE RAVENEL FALL 2018 ivory, pointed collar dress, featuring a center front slit. The black TAMARA MELLON pumps were a predictable choice but she looked great in the dress.

Kate Mara, Claire Foy and Yalitza Aparicio wore Miu Miu on Sunday(January 6th) to the 76th Annual Golden Globes Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Kate Mara served up some cleavage action wearing a RESORT 2019 peach ruffle hem dress which featured an embellished, cutout bodice and a lace panel. Thankfully Kate lined her dress which worked in her favor. An EVA FEHREN ring and a white clutch finished up her look.

2019 Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards Gala Wrap-up

Yesterday evening(January 3rd) the 2019 Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards Gala
took place at the Palm Springs Convention Center in Palm Springs, CA. To see all of the celeb looks, click HERE and continue below for the wrap-up.

Emily Blunt served up some great looks on the Mary Poppins promo tour, and she adds another look to the list courtesy of ROLAND MOURET. Although simple in design, she stood out in the designer's red 'Belhaven' ruffle one-shoulder gown, which was accessorized with FERNANDO JORGE jewelry.

Yalitza Aparicio from the hit movie 'Roma' looked lovely in this custom ADEAM tuxedo dress in a vibrant red tiger lily hue. A matching lip, straight off-the-shoulder tresses and DAVID YURMAN jewelry finished up her look.

Linda Cardellini might have looked stiffed posing, but her strapless MONIQUE LHUILLER SPRING 2019 white & black butterfly, guipure lace dress was cute. APM MONACO jewelry, and a TYLER ELLIS clutch & sandals finished up her look.

Marina de Tavira in Prada at the 'Roma' 62nd BFI London Film Festival Premiere

Marina de Tavira was on hand for the premiere of her new film 'Roma' and the Journey Gala during the 62nd BFI London Film Festival on Friday(October 13th) in London, England.

The PRADA FALL 2018 collection has some challenging pieces as you can see here on Marina. Her pleated tulle, embellished layered which was teamed with simple black pumps, looks a little off around the midsection.

Also I don't like the tulle around the neck. If this looks familiar, that's because Rita Ora wore it in a different color way. Do you think Marina pulled this dress off?
