71st DGA Awards

Last night(February 2nd) the 71st Annual Directors Guild of America(DGA) Awards took place at The Ray Dolby Ballroom in Hollywood, California.

Constance Wu was head to toe in MIU MIU which featured a strapless black & silver embellished gown, with a white feathered neckline, a black clutch and silver sandals. Love this playful gown but it looks a little too loose on her. MELINDA MARIA jewelry and a fuchsia lip finished up her look. 

Sacha Baron Cohen looked great wearing this bold PAUL SMITH tuxedo. Thankfully it's not one of those boring blue hues, because the royal blue stands out more. 

Isla Fisher wore a REEM ACRA PRE-FALL 2019 red, long-sleeve gown with plunging neckline and knot detail waist. Isla is reminding me of Amy Adams here because this is so her. Nonetheless, simple as it is, this is one of Isla's best look.  

Sarah Paulson also wore a look courtesy of MIU MIU. Her blue sequin midi dress featured a v-neckline which was adorned with a black rose and a cutout waist. The idea of this is cute but I don't like the fit. NIKOS KOULIS jewelry, a TYLER ELLIS clutch and a vibrant pink lip finished up her look. 

Laura Harrier looked simply pretty in a black strapless BRANDON MAXWELL PRE-FALL 2018 gown which featured a satin bustier top and a side split, floor length skirt. BULGARI jewelry, side parted tresses and a nude shiny lip rounded out her look. 

Helen Mirren always brings her style game and she looked great wearing this BRANDON MAXWELL black skirt jacket, which was belted at the waist and black LAFAYETTE 148 pants. While Jourdan Dunn sells the plunging neckline on the runway, the way Helen is wearing it, suits her more. She accessorized with a ROGER VIVIER black embellished clutch, NEIL LANE jewelry and vibrant pink pumps which provided a playful pop of color to her look.

Keri Russell showed a little leg wearing a black one long sleeve OSCAR DE LA RENTA SPRING 2019 lace embroidered dress which was layered for coverage and featured a side front split. She finished up with a center part ponytail, pink lips and black sandals. 

Elsie Fisher works another masculine inspired look courtesy of AKRIS. She wore the PRE-FALL 2019 'Clemence' crepe check print top and the matching 'Carlotta' shorts. For a pop of color, she carried a mini red bag which topped off her look along with DORATEYMUR patent leather boots.

Yalitza Aparicio wore a DELPOZO SPRING 2019 strapless embroidered Moire dress, with a self-tie bow back. The bodice looks a tad tight but she looks lovely in this hue. SHEE'S & YVAN TUFENKJIAN jewelry finished up her look.

Marina de Tavira wore a GIAMBATTISTA VALLI FALL 2018 floral, mock neck dress, which featured a contrasting velvet waist sash, that nipped the waist. HARRY KOTLAR & LE VIAN jewelry and a wavy ponytail rounded out her look.
