Cynthia Erivo is one of the jury members for the 78th Venice Film Festival and today(September 1st) she attended the jury photocall, the opening ceremony & the 'Parallel Mothers' premiere in Venice, Italy. I am so excited to see her looks for the festival because the fashion marriage between her & her stylist Jason Bolden, has proved to be her best.

Looking gorgeous as always, she wore a white printed TORY BURCH RESORT 2022 long dress with the matching turban. My only quibble with this look is that it needed to be shorten an inch or two but other than, I love this.

Cynthia Erivo wore a FALL 2020 mint strapless gown with a u-neckline, layered peplum detail, and a back split. I like the idea of this gown, it suits her and it works for the occasion. Cynthia Erivo maybe 5'1 but she loves big gowns and I ma here for it. On hand as a nominee, she attended the 26th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday(January 19th) at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in LA.

On this occasion, her dramatic gown moment came courtesy of SCHAIAPARELLI. Her custom Couture gown featured a red strapless top and a fuchsia voluminous, ball gown skirt with a peplum detail and train. 

This color combo gown looks great on her. and I love that she has that go big or go home fashion mentality. However the fit of the top seems to be the issue. Taraji P. Henson is on the promo trail for her new film 'The Best of Enemies' and yesterday evening(April 4th) she attended the premiere at the AMC Loews Lincoln Square in New York City.

Working a custom look, she wore a PHILOSOPHY DI LORENZO SEREFINI navy long sleeve velvet floor gazing, backless gown, which was adorned with padded shoulders and 300,000 blue Swarovski crystals.

The gown is simple and cute but the fit on the torso is off. Also I would shorten the hem above the ankles and swap out those SERGIO ROSSI pointy toe pumps for silver metallic sandals. On Saturday(February 2nd) Taraji P. Henson hosted the InStyle Badass Women dinner and her stylist Jason Bolden posted her look to his instagram page. 

She posed for the gram wearing a black WOLFORD bodysuit, and a ivory pleated CALVIN KLEIN SPRING 2019 skirt, with a black wool coat over her shoulders.Since it was cold, I get the black  opaque tights but I think this would have looked so much better with  black leather thigh-high boots.

Also the torn split comes off as a very silly detail. Wo knows if it was on purpose or not since debut on the runway the same way but it is still a silly look. Are you feeling Taraji's instagram style?

Taraji P. Henson, Constance Wu and Alison Brie wore custom VERA WANG gowns this evening(January 6th) to the 76th Annual Golden Globes Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Taraji P. Henson kept it really simple in a dark green velvet halter dress, featuring a plunging neckline and a contrasting leather waistband. The wide neckline is bugging me because if it was a bit narrower, it would have been more appealing. Also compared to Constance & Alison's gown, her look is not memorable. ROBERTO COIN jewelry and a flawless beauty look finished up her look.

Constance Wu is wearing a nude tulle, layered gown which seems to be inspired by the designer's Spring 2019 Bridal collection. The contrasting orange velvet waist sash is what keeps her gown interesting. MESSIKA jewelry and GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI sandals finished up her look.

Taraji P. Henson was a presenter this evening(March 4th) at the 90th Annual Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.

Working the split on her dress, she wore a custom VERA WANG sheer black silk-chiffon halter dress with a cutout bodice, a thigh-high split, a nipped waist and angel sleeves. Taraji's dress feels somewhat familiar on the carpet but you can't deny how beautiful & sexy she is looking this dress.

However my only quibble is the nude cups which I kinda wish was black. She finished up with ROBERTO COIN jewelry, a colored lip and side parted straight tresses. What do you think of Taraji's look?

'Almost Christmas' LA Premiere Wrap-up

Joining Gabrielle Union, Keri Hilson, Kimberly Elise and Mo'Nique hit the red carpet as well yesterday evening(November 4th) at the 'Almost Christmas' premiere at the Regency Village Theater in LA.

Keri Hilson wore a white long sleeve shirt and silver floral metallic wide leg trousers. I thought Keir looked great but I wish the pants had a better fit from the knee below. A complimentary beauty look and a selection of jewelry finished up her look.

Kimberly Elise stood out in her vibrant orange JOVANI strapless tier floor length dress which was accessorized with a gold ROBERTO COIN necklace and a SWAROVKSI clutch. I wish she wore contrasting turquoise jewelry to give her look some balance but she looked great nonetheless. 

Mo'Nique looked great in a custom TAE'WOO ensemble which featured a sleeveless black split neck top and a black & white floor length stripe skirt with tie waist detail. Side parted short curls and smokey eyes offset with a glossy colored lip finished up her look.
