In the 'Best Supporting' category, Jennifer Lopez is one of the leading ladies this awards season. This weekend, she attended the 2020 LA Film Critics Awards & the 25th Critics Choice Awards in 

For the LAFC awards on Saturday(January 11th), she wore a simple ELIE SAAB SPRING 2020 light blue gown with a plunging neckline, a belted waist, side split and bishop sleeves. I feel like she needed a necklace here but I like her in this gown. However the eye make-up is too heavy.

Kristen Bell in Cong Tri at the 25th Critics Choice Awards

Kristen Bell was on hand for the 25th Annual Critics Choice Awards this evening(January 12th) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA.

The actress could not be missed wearing a CONG TRI SPRING 2020 lime green silk jumpsuit, featuring a draped top with sheer illusion side panel and a draped panel that flowed into a train in the back. 

She may have that dry cleaning crease down the front of the pants but I am thankful and surprise that this isn't wrinkled with those annoying creases. 

For me, I don't like the color on Kristen and the sheer nude side panel top doesn't really work. However in general, I like the idea of this jumpsuit. Do you think Kristen pulled this color off?

D'Arcy Carden and Shahadi Wright-Joseph made their way to the blue carpet this evening(January 12th) wearing TADASHI SHOJI RESORT 2020 for the 25th Annual Critics Choice Awards at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA.

D'Arcy Carden was all smiles wearing a white and red polka dot off-the-shoulder, silk-chiffon gown with draped sleeves. Love the gown but I find that it sits a little too low on the bust. Other than that, this is a great look. A matching colored lip, a coordinating JUDITH LEIBER clutch and side parted tresses rounded out her look.

On hand as a nominee, Saoirse Ronan attended the 25th Annual Critics Choice Awards on Sunday(January 12th) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA.

For the occasion, she chose a ruffle floral jacquard gown from the ERDEM SPRING 2020 collection. Thankfully she left that over-sized yellow bow and opera gloves out because it was not needed.

This shape is not the easiest to pull off but the fashion risk that she took ended with good results. Silver accessories and a complimentary beauty look rounded out her look.

Billy Porter came through in a custom HOGAN McLAUGHLIN celadon and evergreen two-tone silk faille jumpsuit, which he teamed with custom COACH white platform boots. The actor kept his look interesting with custom butterfly tattoos and LYN BAN jewelry. I know there are going to be mixed reactions to his look but I like that he never plays it safe. 

Caleb McLaughlin is a young star who never disappoints and even though this is a classic black suit, he looked great in this LES HOMMES SPRING 2020 look. Although I kinda wish he wore sneakers, with a printed pocket square.

Lupita Nyong'o was on hand as a nominee at the 25th Annual Critics Choice Awards on Sunday(January 12th) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA

Lupita is known for wearing color on the carpet but she switched things up, wearing a brown MICHAEL KORS COLLECTION gown. Her custom PRE-FALL 2020 leather & crepe gown was belted at the waist. 

Brown is that hue that is hard for anyone to pull off but for someone like Lupita, she did it with ease. I love her custom version on the look book's, it's edgy with a flirty appeal. 

Her hairstylist Vernon Francois is always creative when it comes to her hairstyle and she is wearing this Afro cloud ponytail. POMELLATO jewelry, a TYLER ELLIS clutch and GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI sandals finished up her look. Did Lupita sell you on this brown hue?

The gown was layered with a jacket on the runway but this would have come off a bit matronly had she wore it. I kinda wish she wore her hair off-the-shoulder with a simple diamond necklace. However she still looked beautiful wearing this gown.

The actress ditched wearing a gown and suited up in DIOR MEN SPRING 2020. Her grey two-piece suit featured a contrasting white satin lapel panel which drapes down the front. I am not a huge fan of the color on her but she pulls this off with ease. 

Women have been nailing the power suit look for a while now and this is not the first time that Gwendoline has taken on the masculine inspired look with an A+ finish. Did Gwnedoline sell you on her suit look?

Sure this look is not typical for this carpet event but it works and she owned the look. A flawless beauty look, MATEO earrings, DJULA rings and matching pumps put the finishing touches on her look.

Whether it is a hit or miss, Cynthia Erivo knows how to pick dramatic pieces for her big moments. The nominee attended the 25th Annual Critics Choice Awards on Sunday(January 12th) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA. 

I love this FENDI FALL 2019 COUTURE gown that she chose but I am not 100% sold on it for her. Here's why, I miss the volume that the skirt had on the runway but because of Cynthia's height, I don't think the shape would have worked the same. 

Also I wish the net neckline was cutout instead of lined. This look gets my vote because of the gown's dramatic appeal and it's definitely not a bad look on Cynthia but I prefer the runway's presentation personally. She finished up with DAVID WEBB jewelry and CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN heels. Do you think Cynthia pulled this gown off?

It's been a while since I have seen Jenny Slate on the carpet but she is on hand for the 25th Annual Critics Choice Awards this evening(January 12th) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA.

While most celebs are wearing current season or spring pieces, Jenny Slate chose a dress from the MULBERRY FALL 2017 collection. Her 'Lana’ castle blue floral embroidered silk dress featured a plunging neckline and a handkerchief hem.  

A contrasting black velvet waistband was added to Jenny's dress to nip the waist and it worked in her favor. This hem style is tricky to pull off but Jenny sells it and I thought she looked great overall.

ANABELA CHAN earrings, and DJULA, MATEO & KALLATI rings and a complimentary beauty put the finishing touches on her look. What do you think of Jenny's look?

Ava DuVernay is one of those celebs who finds a signature silhouette and sticks with it and this custom MICHAEL CINCO gown proves that. Nonetheless, she is a beautiful woman.
